Lilypad Lacquer ~ Splash

Lilypad Lacquer ~ Splash
Turquoise/seagreen linear holo with golden shimmer

It’s time for another Lilypad! I didn’t realize that Splash has a golden touch to it when I bought it. I probably wouldn’t have bought it, if I had known - but let’s see if this story has got a happy ending after all, shall we?

Application was a breeze. I used my regular base coat, and didn’t experience any problems with the formula. It covers in two easy coats, and drying time is pretty good too.

I took a couple of pictures with flash at first, to make some rainbows. Here’s two coats, no topcoat:

I think Splash is the perfect name for this – it looks like water even I’d splash into, haha!!

Then I stamped on it. I used a stamping plate from Moyou London called Sailor Collection-07, and I stamped with a polish from Manhattan – M & Buffalo, it hasn’t got a name but only a number, which is #20. I took some pictures with flash, but they didn’t make any sense because the stamping didn’t show at all. So I set up my light box and took some pictures there instead.

There’s still no topcoat involved – take a look at how pretty this is:

Does that look good or what??

I actually even think it makes my nails look longer and slimmer! I’m not really interested in having long nails, but this is a quite funny effect!

And here are the polishes together:

Splash turned out to be a winner, despite the golden touch. I love that it flashes some minor rainbows, but what I love more is that it looks great out of the sunshine too. And I must admit that I am very pleased with the pairing of these two polishes – I think the stamping looks really cool!
