Turquoise/green jelly with iridescent glitter

Last time I visited my local drugstore I laid eyes on the display from CND. I eyed a couple of cool looking glitters and knew I had to try a few of them. I ended up buying four of which two were reduced. That’s always nice!

Today I’m trying on the first one: Express Ur Em-Oceans. I always thought that OPI had the polishes with the silliest names but I must admit that this one is even more silly!

Anyway, it’s a thick jelly with glitter. It’s not super easy to work with but I managed to make it cover in two coats. The drying time is average.

The stamp I used is from Lina’s stamping plate Feeling Shapely! 07 and I stamped with Sally Hansen’s Instadri “Jumpin’ Jade”, which isn’t originally a stamping polish but I only use it for that purpose.

That was an okay experience with a brand that’s new to me. I’m looking forward to trying the other three.

Lavender shimmery texture

I mentioned yesterday that I always buy polish when I visit other countries. Today’s polish is bought in Sweden. It was part of a huge display and all the polishes were super cheap.

The formula is good and easy to work with. I applied two coats for full opacity. The drying time was okay on the first coat but relatively slow on coat number two. Next time I might use three thin coats instead of two “normal” coats.

I added Hello Kitty stickers because I find this girl super girly and so is Hello Kitty.

This is the final manicure including a layer of topcoat.

Here’s #92 on its own. There’s no topcoat involved yet and the polish is only slightly textured. I don’t really think I would have thought of it as textured if it hadn’t said “Crystal Sand” on the bottle. One layer of topcoat eliminated every sign of texture.

This was a good buy!

I bought Bohemean when I visited Poland last year. It’s from the Boho Chic collection from Autumn 2014. I got it ridiculously cheap – I like that!

The formula is really good and so is the coverage. I used two coats for full opacity and the drying time was good.

I ended up doing a tape mani. The red is a stamping polish from El Corazón called First Kiss. I like doing dots, stripes and tape manicures with stamping polishes because they always cover in one coat. I topcoated the result with a holo microflakie topper, also from El Corazón, namely 421h/25.

And here’s Bohemean on its own; two coats and no topcoat. It’s a super lovely polish, I’m glad I found it on my vacation!
