Colors by Llarowe ~ Dance with the Devil

Colors by Llarowe ~ Dance with the Devil
Red glowing holo base with holo flakes

Dance with the Devil is from The Journey Begins collection from Autumn 2016. CbL makes beautiful reds and Dance with the Devil is no exception.

The formula is just great and the polish just glided on. I used two coats for full opacity and the drying time is really good.

This is two coats and a layer of topcoat in the sun.

Look at how it glows!

I didn’t quite know what to do with this so I asked my boyfriend. We quickly agreed that this polish doesn’t really need anything extra to be pretty. So the only thing I did was picking Out the Door’s “Northern Lights” as my topcoat. I just love that topper, it gives that little extra to pretty much any mani.

Here’s one layer of Northern Lights over Dance with the Devil.

I love this.

I really like Dance with the Devil and it didn’t really need that layer of Northern Lights. I didn’t regret adding the holo topper though because now it shines in all sorts of lightings.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Glowing holo with flakes

Colors by Llarowe ~ The New Nude

Colors by Llarowe ~ The New Nude
Bright acid green scattered holo

The New Nude is a store exclusive for Nailland and it’s really bright green and sparkly. Just my kind of polish!

The formula is good and I used two coats for my mani. The drying time between the coats is good.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat taken in the morning sun:

I made some teal dots because I was in the mood for dots. I used Colour Alike’s B. an Aurora for the dots and I sealed it up with topcoat before I took my last couple of pictures.

This is taken with flash because the sun didn’t want to play anymore.

And this is taken in low lights. The green is still looking great.

Here are the two sisters in crime:

The New Nude is a really cool green in my opinion.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good

ILNP ~ Contraband

ILNP ~ Contraband
Darkened purple shimmer

Contraband is a beautiful purple. It’s dark and vampy and that’s why it’s been sitting in the infamous box of untrieds for so long. I don’t mind dark polishes as long as they’re not too dark. But yeah… Contraband might be a bit too dark for me.

Anyway! The formula is great and the polish covers well. I used two easy coats for my mani and the drying time is good.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat:

I had to brighten it up a bit to wear it so I stamped on it. I found my water marble-ish motif of stamping plate hehe 040 and I stamped with El Corazón’s Manatee. After the stamping I topped my mani with Out the Door’s Northern Lights holo glitter topcoat.

This is my final mani:

That’s much better for me, now I can actually wear it :D

Here are the polishes I used:

I’ve almost used half of the Northern Lights. I did already buy a back up bottle, because I really like this topper.

Contraband is pretty but I’m going to have to find it a new home where it’ll be loved more.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Shimmer
Overall impression: Dark and vampy, really cool quality polish.
Buy again: No, but only because it’s too dark for me
