Depend ~ #505

Depend ~ #505
Tomato red with pink and red shimmer

It’s time for another Depend polish. Depend is a Swedish brand and they sometimes come up with quite pretty polishes. #505 is from the “Game, Set, Match” collection from Spring 2017.

The formula is great and the coverage is really good. I used two coats for my mani and the drying time was good.

I stamped a couple of discrete flowers on it. I used El Corazón’s stamping polish “Midnight Tango” for the stamp.

Here’s the final mani including topcoat. The picture is taken in daylight. Isn’t the colour just pretty?

Here’s the same thing in the lightbox to show the stamp.

And this is #505 on its own in ordinary daylight, no sun.

The polishes and the stamping plate I used:

I really like #505, it’s bright and clear and right up my alley!

Number of coats: 2 Drying time: Good
Finish: Shimmer
Overall impression: Great little polish, good coverage, pretty colour and shimmer

NailNation 3000 ~ Falling for You

NailNation 3000 ~ Falling for You
Soft red linear holo

Falling for You has been sitting in the box for a wee bit of time now so it’s her time to shine on the blog.

The formula is good and easy to work with and I used two coats for full opacity. The drying time is pretty good. The smell is a bit weird, it smells like polish mixed with a weird chemical. I don’t know if she always smelled like this or if the long wait made her go all smelly. It doesn’t seem to have affected to polish in any other way though.

The colour made me think of Minnie Mouse so I made white dots on my nails.

This is the final mani including topcoat. The picture is taken with flash.

This is taken in ordinary daylight. You can probably tell why I called it a “soft red”, can’t you?

Here’s Falling for You in full flash and alone. Such a pretty polish.

Here are the two polishes I used. W7’s “White” is not very good to be honest so I only ever use it for nail art and I won’t be sad when the bottle is empty :D

I like it simple, so I like this. What about you?

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Pretty good
Finish: Linear holo
Overall impression: Pretty rainbows, odd smell
Buy again: I am not quite sure to be honest

H & M ~ Wildstyle and Encore

H & M ~ Wildstyle and Encore
Green shimmer and golden holo glitter

It’s water marble day! Just to make sure that I don’t forget how it’s done, haha!

I used four different polishes today:

Wildstyle from H&M: A grass green packed with shimmer
Encore from H&M: A golden holo glitter
White from W7: A white crème
#520 from Depend: A purple packed with shimmer

I used the grass green shimmer as my base colour, and this is my final mani including topcoat.

The colours aren’t as clear as I had hoped for but I still quite like the result.

Here are the four polishes I used:

I’ll be water marbling again soon to get the result I was originally after, so stay tuned, same bat time, same bat channel :D
