El Corazón ~ 423/972 from the Russian Brocade series

El Corazón ~ 423/972 from the Russian Brocade series
Red with orange shimmer

I love red nail polishes! This El Corazón polish is right up my alley: It’s red, the formula is good and it contains a great amount of shimmer.

Two coats is what it took to achieve full opacity. Drying time was good. The smell of the polish is a little bit odd; not bad, just odd. I can live with that.

I stamped on it. The motif is from BPL-029 and I stamped with a black stamping polish, also from El Corazón.

This is the final mani including a layer of topcoat.

I thought this flowery motif was perfect for the lovely red polish.

I hope you like it just as much as I do.

Floss Gloss ~ Smoke on the Nail and Dime Piece

Floss Gloss ~ Smoke on the Nail and Dime Piece
Yet another kitchen sink manicure

I was in the mood for a kitchen sink mani – you know, those manis where all the nails are different. I really like it when the nails all don’t look the same!

I used Smoke on the Nail, which is a lovely vampy deep burgundy crème – a very shiny polish. The white polish is from El Corazón and is called m&s-172. The holo glitter is also from Floss Gloss and is called Dime Piece.

This is the end result:

The heart stamp on my middle finger is from the stamping plate BP-61. The hearts are stamped with Smoke on the Nail. It works as a stamping polish on light colours but I don’t think it would actually work on a darker polish.

Here are the three polishes I used.

I wasn’t quite happy with the dots I made. In reality I only wanted a few of them, but all of a sudden there were way too many of them. Argh, I hate it when that happens. But never mind; I loved the rest of it.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Crème
Overall impression: I’m impressed with the quality of Floss Gloss polishes, they are really good!

Emily de Molly ~ Long Engagement

Emily de Molly ~ Long Engagement
Purple leaning dark blue linear holo

This polish has been sitting in the infamous box for a while now, and today is the time it’ll shine on the blog!

The formula was great, I had no issues at all. It covered in two fast drying coats.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat:

This is taken in ordinary daylight. The rainbows still wants to play.

I stamped on it. The heart motif is from the stamping plate BP-61 and I stamped with Chrome Cerise from Models Own.

Here’s my final mani including a layer of topcoat:

And this is the mandatory daylight picture. I love these two colours together.

It has actually been a while since I bought Emily de Molly polishes. It’s a shame because they are really good polishes!

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
