Great Lakes Lacquer ~ WTF Puck?!

Great Lakes Lacquer ~ WTF Puck?!
A grassy green jelly with shifting shimmer and iridescent flake that goes from orange to gold to green

"WTF Puck?!" is from the Road to Polish Con (RTPC) New York Spring 2018. I got my bottle from a blog sale recently.

The formula is okay and coverage is good. I used two coats for full opacity and the drying time is good. There are some of the flakes that are quite big and it doesn't look fantastic on my relatively small nails.

I dapped a bit of glitter onto it. I used OPI's "Desperately Seeking Sequins", which is a really pretty silver holo glitter.

The stamp is from the stamping plate "BP-42". I stamped with a dark purple stamping polish from Born Pretty Store called "Birth of the Queen".

Here's the final result.

I like the way the flakes and the glitter is showing through the stamped design.

Here's "WTF Puck?!" alone, two coats. Look at that huge flake on my ring finger nail :D

This is the stuff I used today.

"WTF Puck?!" was limited edition and is no longer available. I'm not quite sure if I'm going to keep my bottle or not.

Femme Fatale ~ My Jabber-Baby-Wocky?! (July 2016 Oops)

Femme Fatale ~ My Jabber-Baby-Wocky?! (July 2016 Oops)
Violet purple creme with green shimmer and scattering of silver holo

The formula of "My Jabber-Baby-Wocky?!" is good and easy to work with. I used two coats for my nails today and the drying time is good.

I added flower stickers onto my nails and made some red dots on my nails as well. I used Color by Llarowe's "The Heart Bleeds" for the dots.

Here's the final result, including a layer of topcoat.

I'm not a huge fan of the dots I made - I think they should have been way smaller, but oh well...

Here's "My Jabber-Baby-Wocky?!" alone; two coats and no topcoat yet. I think my shimmer looks more blue than green. Perhaps that's why my bottle is an "oops", who knows.

Pahlish ~ Sunset Firefly

Pahlish ~ Sunset Firefly
Rich royal purple base with a mix of red, orange, pink and violet iridescent flakes

"Sunset Firefly" is part of "For The Love Of Polish"-box for November 2019.

The formula of "Sunset Firefly" is a typical jelly in order to allow the beautiful flakes to show off. Some of you might already know that I am not a fan of jellies. The first coat went on and it was very sheer. The second coat helped  but it did require a third coat to look really good.

Let me show you. Here's three coats and a layer of topcoat.

The colour is amazing and so are the flakes.

I wore it like that because I didn't know what to do with it, and more importantly because I wanted this beauty to shine on its own.

I expected this polish to be my favourite of the "For The Love Of Polish"-box for November 2019. The colour combination is so beautiful. But the three coats didn't impress me, and I know it isn't fair to the polish because like I said: It needs to be a jelly in order for the flakies to not drown.

All these three polishes were limited edition and are no longer available.

Finish: Jelly with flakes
Overall impression: Great colour and flakes
Buy again: Hmm... Yes because of the colour

Tonic Polish ~ Light Bringer

Tonic Polish ~ Light Bringer
A bright flash of intense glowing pink shimmer that shifts to green in a murky teal base with indigo blue iridescent flakes

"Light Bringer" is part of "For The Love Of Polish"-box for November 2019.

The formula of "Light Bringer" is super good and really easy to work with. The coverage is great too - I used two coats for my nails today. The drying time is really good as well.

The dots are made with a pink stamping polish from Born Pretty Store. It's called "Wall", and this were the last drops of it.

Here's the final result, including a layer of topcoat.

I really like the colour combination of this.

Here's "Light Bringer" alone; two coats and no topcoat. I really like both the shimmer and the flakes here.

I didn't think that "Light Bringer" was going to be my favourite of these three polishes, but it is. It's really pretty!
