Leighton Denny: Diamond Diva

Leighton Denny: Diamond Diva
Silver metallic shimmer

Here's another find from a visit to TK Maxx on one of my holidays. Diamond Diva is super sparkly and shiny and very pretty.

The formula is good too and easy to apply. I used two coats for my manicure today. The drying time is good.

I applied nail stickers to the middle and the ring finger. I made pink brush strokes on all the nails with Models Own's "Oval Plum". I brushed on a bit of black glitter too with Sally Hansen's "Ruffle".

Here's the final result, including a layer of topcoat.

I really like this mix of colours and effects.

This is "Diamond Diva" alone; two coats and no topcoat. It's super sparkly!

Invogue: Desire

Invogue: Desire
Red with pink shimmer

Here's another pretty polish from Invogue. The formula seems thin and sheer but it still only took two easy coats to build up to full opacity. The drying time was good.

The stamp is from Moyou London's stamping plate "Back to the 60's-04". I stamped with a standard white stamping polish from El Corazón. The green dots are also made with a stamping polish from El Corazón, namely "Emerald".

My topcoat pulled on my design but funnily enough I couldn't really see that in real life. My camera picks up everything though, also things that are invisible to the naked eye.

I like it anyway - here it is:

OPI: DS Glamour

OPI: DS Glamour
Denim blue linear holo

Today's polish was a great find in a blog sale. It's an oldie and a now very hard to find polish. The polish had evaporated quite a bit though so I had to use a lot of thinner to revive it. Not a problem, it still works a charm.

I don't understand why OPI doesn't make more holographic polishes. If anybody from OPI should ever come across this text: Please make more holos! You're brilliant at it!

I used two easy coats for full opacity and the drying time was good.

The stamp is from Moyou London's stamping plate "Pro Collection-02" and I stamped with a baby pink stamping polish from Born Pretty Store. I stuck a little stone in the topcoat before it dried.

Look how pretty it all turned out:

Masura: Beetle Juice

Masura: Beetle Juice
Described as a bright blue crelly with fine holographic glitter and a small amount of colorful mica

Today's polish is from Masura and I usually quite like Masura's polishes. "Beetle Juice" disappointed me a bit though.

The formula is on the sheer side and it applies a bit patchy, also on the second coat. I wore three coats today, but my pictures reveal that I should have applied a third coat.

I made dots on it. I had originally planned to make two single rows of dots on it, but I didn't like the result. That made me add more dots, and that made it look much better.

I topped it all with the holo glitter topper "Northern Lights" from Out The Door.

Here's the final result.

I like the end result.

Here's "Beetle Juice" alone; this is two coats. Like I said: I should have added a third coat.
