Essie ~ #EssieLove & Galentine

Essie ~ #EssieLove & Galentine
Red shimmer & white and babypink multisized hexagons

Today’s polishes are from Essie’s Valentine’s collection from February 2019.

I started out with “#EssieLove”, which is a lovely classic red with shimmer. I used two coats for full opacity and the drying time is good.

It’s really lovely! Here it is:

Classic red, very sexy and beautiful, I love it!

I added the glitter. It’s a mix of baby pink and white hexagons in various sizes. This is one coat of the glitter over red. The glitter spreads out evenly and easily.

I like the way the hexes look over the base colour.

Essence ~ “Get Ready” with foil

Essence ~ “Get Ready” with foil
Baby pink crème

I used “Get Ready” as my base colour. It’s a lovely baby pink crème with a great formula. I used two easy and fast drying coats for full opacity.

I topped with a layer of foil glue and when that was dry and tacky I applied the foil. The foil is a gradient foil, but I dapped it on to get the colours to spread out more thoroughly.

Here’s the final result including a layer of water based topcoat.

Here are the two things I used today. Isn’t that a lovely looking roll of foil? I’ve got enough for a lifetime!

“Get Ready” is from Essence’s new line of “Shine, Last & Go”, which are gel like polishes that work without any kind of lamp. It’s a lovely polish.

OPI ~ All Your Dreams In Vending Machines

OPI ~ All Your Dreams In Vending Machines
Hot pink with blue shimmer

“All Your Dreams In Vending Machines” is from OPI’s Spring 2019 Tokyo Collection. It’s a 12 polish collection, but so far I’ve only bought this one. I’m considering to buy the purple shimmer as well: “Samurai Breaks A Nail”. We’ll see about that.

The formula seems a little bit thin easy to work with. It covers in two coats and the drying time is good.

The floral stamp is from the stamping plate “JR-98” and I stamped with a shimmery turquoise stamping polish from Colour Alike called “B. a raindrop”. I topped it all with a holo flakie topper from El Corazón called “421h/25”.

Here is the final result.

I like this combination a lot.

This is “All Your Dreams In Vending Machines” alone; two coats and no topcoat yet. It’s a bit prone to brush strokes but I don’t mind that.

I am so pleased with both the polish and the manicure as a whole.
