Celestial ~ On the way to Onomea Bay

Celestial ~ On the way to Onomea Bay
Apple green linear holo with blue sparks

It had been a good day and when I got home I wanted to celebrate that by applying some pretty polish. There’s nothing like a nice relaxing manicure!

I chose a beautiful green holo for the purpose, a Facebook group custom called On The Way to Onomea Bay.

The formula is great; I didn’t experience any problems with the application. I used two easy and fast drying coats for my mani.

No sun available, it’s still the dark ages here. Small villages cut off from the rest of the world by head-high snowdrifts, frozen pigeons falling out of the trees like feathered bowling pins, urbanised Trolls hiding behind dumpsters ready to snatch unwary children, wolfpacks hunting down people coming late home from work etc.etc.etc. So here’s a picture of two coats and no topcoat taken with flash:

Wow, right? I’m super impressed!

This is how pretty it is in low lights. Most of the blue sparks stayed in the bottle, but I still enjoy the prettiness of what ended up on my nails.

I stamped on it. I chose a leafy motif from Dashica’s stamping plate Infinity Nails-106 and I stamped with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Jumpin’ Jade.

Here’s my final mani:

Oh yes, that is just the perfect ending of a very good day!

On the way to Onomea Bay was limited edition and is no longer available.

Darling Diva ~ Cen-O-Bite Me

Darling Diva ~ Cen-O-Bite Me
Berry to purple duo-chrome linear holographic

Cen-O-Bite Me is from the Hellraiser collection from Autumn 2015. It was originally called “Carrie made me do it” and was made by Rick (Mr. Darling Diva) for Carrie for Valentine’s Day. Carrie tweaked the formula a little bit and released it under a new name. And I am SO glad she did that.

The formula is fantastic. Two easy coats with a good drying time is what it took to make this baby shine to the max. I applied a layer of topcoat and took my photos.

Two coats and a layer of topcoat taken with flash.

Isn’t that just gorgeous?! I’m gazing at my nails!!

Here’s the low light pictures that show off the colour shift:

*swoon*

I wore the polish just like that. No nail art, no nothing, just pure prettiness.

Cen-O-Bite Me was limited edition and is unfortunately no longer available.

I ♥ Nail Polish (ILNP) ~ Sirene (H)

I  ♥ Nail Polish (ILNP) ~ Sirene (H)
Teal to blue to purple to orange colour shifter with added holo

Sirene has been sitting in the box of untried for a long time now and today is her time to shine on the blog.

I applied two coats for full opacity and the drying time was pretty good. I didn’t layer it over anything, I just applied it on its own.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat:

The colour shift is strong and visible in all sorts of lights.

I snapped a flash picture to show off the holo goodness. It turned up green in the flash light no matter what I did, haha! :D

I applied a layer of glitter over it. I used OPI’s Comet in the Sky because I thought it was appropriate. I finished the mani off with a layer of topcoat and here’s what it ended up looking like:

It’s almost like a very easy galaxy mani.

That’s it :)

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Pretty good
Finish: Duochrome with holo
Overall impression: Nice polish. It doesn’t wow me though, I’m not sure why

Anonymous Lacquer ~ Wrath

Anonymous Lacquer ~ Wrath
Red linear holo

I have a thing for red polishes and especially red holos. Often the red holos aren’t truly red though, but more cherry red or pink leaning. Wrath is a true red and I love it.

I made this mani with it:

The quality of the polish is great and it’s almost a one coater. The sought after OC. I applied two out of habit, and I do believe that the colour was enhanced a bit by the second layer, so I recommend two coats. The drying time was good.

The white on my middle finger is El Corazón’s m&s-172 and the black on my ring finger is Rimmel’s Black Satin.

I bought the little mask on evilBay.

I made the two stripes on each side of the pinkie and the pointer to represent theatre curtains.
This is a picture taken in ordinary daylight, no sun.

I am super pleased with wrath and with my mani as a whole. What do you think?

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Linear holo
Overall impression: Ooh la la, be still my glittery heart. It’s gorgeous!
