Moyra ~ 934 Caroline

Moyra ~ 934 Caroline
Dark purple crème

Today's polish is a beautiful dark purple crème from Moyra's Gel Look collection.

The formula is really good and easy to apply. I used two coats for full opacity and the drying time is good. The coverage is so good that I would be very surprised if it didn't work as a stamping polish as well. I'll definitely try that out in future!

I added a bit of iridescent glitter on top of the base colour. I used Ja-De's "Celestial".

Then I made two lines on each nail with Colour Alike's "B. a Lilac Sweater" for that. Then I made three dots by the base of each nail. I used Colour Alike's "Fuchsia Flash" for the dots.

Here's the final result, including a layer of topcoat.

Moyra: 934 Caroline and Ja-De: Celestial

I like the lines and dots on this; I didn't quite know where this was going when I started out.

Here's two coats of "Caroline" with a layer of glitter topper "Celestial".

And this is "Caroline" alone; two coats and no topcoat. It's super shiny even without topcoat.

ILNP ~ Velvet Rope

ILNP ~ Velvet Rope
Dark magenta ultra metallic nail polish

Here's just a short post about the polish I'm wearing today. It's from ILNP and is called "Velvet Rope". It what they call an ultra metallic polish and it's got lots of sparkle.

The formula is good and the polish covers really well. I used two easy coats for full opacity and the drying time is good.

The stamp is from the stamping plate "Nicole Diary-027" and I stamped with a stamping polish from El Corazón called "Apple Flower".

Here's the end result, including a layer of topcoat.

I quite like stamping down the middle of each nail like this.

ILNP ~ Velvet Rope

This is "Velvet Rope" on its own; two coats and no topcoat.

And these are the things I used today.

Allthough I think that "Velvet Rope" is pretty, it doesn't seriously wow me. I think it the tone of the magenta that does it - it's not quite right for me.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Metallic with sparkles
Overall impression: Nice formula and effect. The colour isn't spot on for me.

CND Vinylux ~ Water Park

CND Vinylux ~ Water Park
Sky blue metallic shimmer

Today's nails are blue and pink because that's a colour combo I really like.

The formula of "Water Park" is really good. I used two coats for full opacity and the drying time was good.

I added a star sticker to each nail, and dapped a bit of pink/white/black glitter around them. I used Claire's "Sequins" for that. It's a lovely glitter for nail art!

Here's what it all ended up looking like, including a layer of topcoat.

I must admit that I think that this looks really cool!

This is "Water Park" alone; two coats and no topcoat yet.

Catrice ~ Petrolpolitan

Catrice ~ Petrolpolitan
Cool toned dark green with blue shimmer

I discovered Petrolpolitan in a long forgotten box and decided to wear it right away.

The formula seems a bit tricky, but only the first layer, which you have to be careful with in order to avoid bald spots. The second coat just glides right on, no worries there. The drying time is good.

I added glitter, first to my tips in a glitter French manicure. I decided to add stripes to the mix in order to make it even prettier. The glitter is POP Beauty's "Aquatic Glitz".

Here's the end result, including a layer of topcoat.
