Layla ~ CE72

Layla ~ CE72
Pale green shimmer

Today’s polish is from my latest vacation to Rome. It’s a lovely green with shimmer. The formula is okay – a bit thin on the first coat but it builds up to full opacity in two coats. The drying time is good.

I stamped purple stripes on it and stuck a black cat onto my ring finger nail. The cat is a nail sticker. The stamp is from Lina’s stamping plate “Feeling Shapely! 01” and I stamped with a dark purple stamping polish from El Corazón.

A layer of topcoat finished my manicure. Look at the final result in the sun:

I like it! I even tagged it Halloween because of the colour scheme :D

This is CE72 on its own, two coats and no topcoat. I love finishes like this one, brush strokes and all.

Layla is a great brand. You should try it if you ever get the chance.

Walking down Memory Lane with Zoya ~ Mimi

Walking down Memory Lane with Zoya ~ Mimi
Purple with colour shifting glass flecks/shimmer

I usually don’t do Halloween manicures. I don’t celebrate Halloween and I usually just forget about it until I see all the spiders, skulls, pumpkins and witches on other blogs. But this year I ordered some really cute stickers and they actually arrived before Halloween! :D

So: I decided to stick them onto a crazy pretty purple polish: Mimi from Zoya. I used two coats for my manicure and the drying time was pretty good. I think I would have added an extra layer of polish if I was going to wear it on its own. I added a layer of glitter instead. I used a mystery glitter from Ooh La Lacquer.

Then I stuck on the little stickers and sealed the whole thing up with topcoat.

Here’s my final Halloween manicure:

I dig this.

Here’s Mimi on its own; two coats and no topcoat. There was a time where I had to get my Zoyas through polish swaps. I kinda miss swapping, it was great to receive polishes from all over the world and to interact with other nail polish addicts like that as well.

These are the things I used today.

I tried to look back and can’t actually see that I blogged about Mimi before. That’s a shame, and it’s nice making up for that now.

El Corazón Kaleidoscope ~ 07 On the Wedding

El Corazón Kaleidoscope ~ 07 On the Wedding
Neon coral

I bought the entire collection of neons from El Corazón’s “I am Bright” collection by the end of 2015. I just went back and I can see that it’s only a few of them that I have used individually. I have used them all in nail art though.

I was in the mood for something really bright so I decided that “07 On The Wedding” was my polish for today. It’s a beautiful peachy coral crème.

The application was easy and I used two coats for desired and full opacity. The drying time is good.

I applied a layer of El Corazón’s holo flakie topper “421h/25” on top of the neon-ness.

The star stamp is from the stamping plate “Mezerdoo C47”. I stamped with “Yellow” which is a yellow stamping polish from El Corazón.

Here’s the final manicure in the sun. The neon made my camera freak out a bit. The photos are almost colour accurate, just imagine a bit more neon!
