Lollipop Posse Lacquer: Prickly Pear

Lollipop Posse Lacquer: Prickly Pear
Described as a neon pink crelly filled with green/purple shifting Aurora shimmer and green/pink/purple shifting iridescent flakes

"Prickly Pear" is from the "For The Love Of Polish"-box for May 2020. The theme is Desert Bloom.

The formula is good and easy to work with. I used three coats for my nails today. I thought I could get away with two coats but the third coat made a huge difference for both the colour and the depth of the flakes. The drying time is good.

The stamp is from the stamping plate "BP-L003" and I stamped with "Burgundy Crush" from Max Factor.

This is the end result, including a layer of topcoat.

I like these two colours together.

Here is "Prickly Pear" alone; three coats and no topcoat. I honestly don't think that this is in your face enough to be called a neon.

Here are links to the other two polishes in the May 2020 FTLOP-box:

"Prickly Pear" is limited edition and was only available in May.

Number of coats: 3

Finish: Shimmer and flakes
Overall impression: Nice polish. I would like it to actually be neon, but hey, maybe next time, who knows :D

Trend It Up: #060 Tinted Cat

Trend It Up: #060 Tinted Cat
Classic red with shimmer

Today's polish is a sister to the green polish from DM in Germany that I showed you yesterday. It's the cutest bottle shaped as a little bucket. The colour is absolutely gorgeous.

The formula seems a bit patchy but the second coat evened out every little irregularity. The drying time was good.

I applied a layer of glitter over it; it's Sally Hansen's "Strobe Light". Then I made two white stripes on each nail. Lastly I applied a layer of topcoat to seal it all up.

Here's how it all ended up looking.

This is Trend It Up #060 Tinted Cat alone; two coats and no topcoat yet. The shimmer is super pretty and it's a really pretty red.

Trend It Up: #080 Snake

Trend It Up: #080 Snake
Green with green shimmer

Today's polish is from DM in Germany. It's the cutest bottle shaped as a little bucket. The colour is absolutely gorgeous.

I used two easy coats for full opacity and the formula was flawless. The drying time was good as well.

I added a couple of cute little panda water decals onto my nails. I dapped a bit of glitter around the pandas and applied a layer of glitter onto the remaining nails. The glitter is Orly "What's The Big Teal".

Here's the final result, including a layer of topcoat.

I really like the base colour "Snake". It's also the first time I've used Orly's glitter. I honestly haven't known what to apply it over. But this green seemed like a good base for it. Do you like it?

Walking down Memory Lane with Emily de Molly: Illumine

Walking down Memory Lane with Emily de Molly: Illumine
Purple linear holo with shimmer

I have always been a fan of strong holos with beautiful rainbows. Emily de Molly has always been the supplier of such holos and thus I'm a big fan of that brand. I am not quite sure how old "Illumine" is, but I wore it for the first time back in 2016. It's a super lovely purple with som really amazing rainbows.

The formula is really good too and I used two easy coats for full opacity. The drying time is really good.

I made five dots by the base of each nail: First white dots and then pink dots on top of the white.

Here's the final result, including a layer of topcoat. This photo is taken in the sunshine.

I really love this manicure, both the colour and the simple nail art on it.

Here's "Illumine" on its own, two coats and no topcoat yet. The sun wasn't out to begin with so this photo is taken with flash.
