I have a soft spot for mystery polishes. I think it’s super exciting to unwrap a secret polish to see what it looks like. Many brands offer mystery polishes. Often it’s test batches and one of a kind polishes that didn’t make it to the shelves. When Pahlish offers mystery polishes I often buy at least one with the other polishes I order.

This time the mystery polish is lavender, not a colour I’d normally go for. The shimmer is lovely though; it’s very delicate and pretty.

I used two coats for full opacity and the drying time is good. I applied a layer of topcoat before I snapped this picture:

I think I’ll call this colour “work friendly”, which is a phrase that doesn’t speak to me. I wear whatever colour I want, both at work and for other occasions. I love glitter, holo, bling – every day, all year around!

I added a bit of bling to actually wear this. One coat of Revlon’s topcoat “Holographic Pearls” – and now we’re talking, take a look:

It’s way more me with the bling!

Finish: Crelly with shimmer
Overall impression: Work friendly colour, good quality product.

Muted pink with shimmer & White crème

Today I’m wearing two of my latest Sation polishes: Pink Sparkle and Snow White. Pink Sparkle is a muted pink packed with shimmer. The colour might not be unique but it’s quite a unique polish because of the shimmer in it. Snow White is an ordinary white. I like trying new white polishes even though I have found a really good one in Essence’s White Wild Ways.

The formula of Pink Sparkle is a bit thin but it builds up. I used two rich coats for my mani but next time I’ll be using three thin layers instead to avoid the longer drying time. Snow White is amazingly good, I’m seriously impressed. If you’re very careful you can get away with one coat! Yes, one! I wasn’t careful though so I used two, but I’m still impressed. The drying time was good.

I didn’t take pictures of this first step, but went directly to nail art. I applied a layer of Sally Hansen Luxe Lace “Eyelet”, which is a multisized white glittermix in a clear base. And I used a water decal on the white polish.

This, my dears, is the final mani:

I really like this combination of white and pink, flowers and glitter.

I can recommend both polishes, but especially the white, it’s really good.

Grey (or silver) linear holo with silver shimmer

There is so much holo goodness in this mystery polish that I’m not sure whether it’s grey or silver or something in between. I think it’s grey though :D

The formula seems thin with the first coat but it builds up to full opacity with coat number two. The drying time is really good.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat taken with flash because the sun acted like a diva and hid behind a cloud.

This photo is taken in ordinary daylight, no flash and no sun. The rainbows just refuse to not shine.

I made yellow, orange and red dots on it because I didn’t know what else to do. I used three stamping polishes from El Corazón for the dots.

This is the final mani including topcoat. The picture is taken in the smallest ray of sun I’ve ever seen :D

Overall impression: The rainbows in this polish are crazy!
