Superchic Lacquer ~ Wonderwall

Superchic Lacquer ~ Wonderwall
Described as: “An incredibly intense vibrant shade of lush nudey teal, formulated with fierce duo-chrome color depth and intense linear holographic effects.”

I looked up the colour description up on Superchic’s website. I was surprised to see that this is described as something “teal”; I would never even have thought of teal when I look at this polish. I see something golden, nude-ish golden perhaps.

The formula is good though and it takes two coats to achieve full opacity. The drying time is really good.

I applied some water decals that I bought from Aliexpress. They’re rainbow coloured but in the sheer way so I guess that these are supposed to be worn over a white polish.

Here’s the final result including a layer of topcoat. This is a photo taken with flash.

Here’s a photo taken in ordinary daylight. The decals show better. But I simply can’t get my head around the colour description. Is this vibrant? I think not! Is this just slightly teal? I can’t see it!

Here’s “Wonderwall” alone; two coats and no topcoat. I used flash.

I got “Wonderwall” in a grab bag. I think I’ll check out if it works for stamping, and if it doesn’t, I will find it a better and more nude-loving home than mine :D

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Strong liner holo
Overall impression: I like the quality of the polish and the rainbows. I’m not crazy about the colour but that’s not the polish’s fault

Polished for Days ~ Cheers

Polished for Days ~ Cheers
Bright magenta linear holographic with micro holographic sparks

Magenta seems to be my favourite colour nail polish at the moment. If in doubt: Wear magenta – that could easily be my motto :D

“Cheers” has got a lovely formula and I used two coats for full opacity. The drying time was really good.

The stamp I used is from Lina’s stamping plate “All about Love 01” and I stamped with El Corazón’s stamping polish “White”.

This is what it all looked like when I was done. The photo is taken with flash.

Here’s the same thing taken in ordinary daylight, no flash or sun. Isn’t that just a pretty colour?

And this is “Cheers” alone; two coats and no topcoat. This is a flash picture.

Pahlish Polish ~ Jardim Botanico

Pahlish Polish ~ Jardim Botanico
Deep jade green with pink and teal microflakies

Jardim Botanico is from Pahlish’s Rio Collection from Summer 2014.

The formula is a little bit tricky. I experienced a bit of dragging and bald spots on the first coat but the second coat seemed to even out the irregularities. The drying time was really good and the polish dries up to a semi-matte and dull surface.

I applied water decals on it, it’s some nice silvery decals I bought from Aliexpress recently.

A layer of topcoat completed my manicure and brought out the shininess of the flakies.

This is my manicure photographed in ordinary daylight.

Pahlish Polish ~ Jardim Botanico

Here’s the same thing in the lightbox. The pink flakies were a bit shy but the teal ones didn’t mind to be photographed.
