Essence ~ I don’t Need Money Honey

I bought I don’t Need Money Honey for stamping but decided to give it a go as a base colour as well. It is a lovely blue colour so I wanted to try it out.

It is opaque in one coat if you’re careful. I wasn’t careful enough so I used two coats for my mani. Drying time was good.

The polish is super brush stroke-y; I’d say it’s pretty much impossible to put it on without seeing the brush strokes afterwards. But like I’ve said before: I don’t mind.

Here’s my final mani:

The two holo glitter dots on each nail is made with Floss Gloss’ Dimepiece and there’s a layer of topcoat over it all to finish it up.

This definitely works as a base colour too, and I’m pretty sure I could water marble with it as well. Not bad for a polish that costs about a dollar and a half!

Number of coats: 2 – but 1 is enough

Drying time: Okay

Finish: Metallic
Overall impression: Great colour, good polish for many purposes

Orange pearly shimmer

I’m tired of darkness and cold winter, so today I’m having spring time on my nails.

I used 423/937 from El Corazón, a pearly shimmery orange for my pinkie and my pointer (and my thumb that you cannot see). The formula is easy to work with and I used two coats for full coverage. The polish is prone to brush strokes, but I don’t mind that.

I used a white El Corazón (m&s-172) as the base for my tulip water decals. I bought the decals of Aliexpress. These are fairly thick and didn’t lay completely down on the nails before I topcoated them. It’s the first time I experience that!

Yes, that’s the spring-y feeling I wanted!

Pearly finishes aren’t my favourites, but I quite like this polish. It looks way more grandma-ish in the bottle than on the nails, haha!

Red linear holo with a pink flash

Tainted Love is a Facebook group custom from November 2016. I am a sucker for red linear holos, and I still remember when holos weren’t all over the place. I was in a constant search for great red holos and it took me a while to find some great ones.

The pink flash in Tainted Love makes this polish look like cherry red, but I don’t really mind that at all!

The formula is flawless and the polish covers perfectly in one single coat. I applied a second coat out of habit and because that’s the way I roll, but it honestly didn’t make any difference. The drying time is really good.

This is two coats and a layer of topcoat taken with flash:

Ooh, those rainbows are just amazing! I love them!  ♥

I took this picture in ordinary daylight. You can see the pink flash here and the rainbows really want to come out and play too.

I wasn’t in the mood for nail art of any kind; I just wanted to enjoy Tainted Love in all its beauty!

Tainted Love was limited edition and is no longer available. Thank god I got it! ;)
