Sally Hansen Miracle Gel ~ #500 Mad Women

Deep magenta with pink shimmer

I’ve really come to like Sally Hansen’s polishes because of their great formulas. I found “Mad Women” on special and bought it because I love magenta polishes.

The formula is great and it took two coats for full opacity. The drying time was really good.

I dapped a bit of glitter onto my nails before I stamped. I used Catrice’s “Rose Quartz” for that. The stamp is from the stamping plate Lina “Feeling Shapely! 07”, and I stamped with El Corazón’s stamping polish “Orchid”.

This is the end result including a layer of topcoat.

Here’s “Mad Women” alone, no topcoat yet. Isn’t that shimmer and shine just pretty?

Silver/champagne fine flake linear holo

“Make It By Any Means” is a polish created for the Polish Con NYC 2017. I have seen it described as silver but I think the tone is a bit too warm to be pure silver – hence the “champagne” in the description up there.

The formula is really good. I used two coats for full opacity and the drying time is really good.

The stamp is a “water marble stamp” from KADS’ stamping plate “KADS min 04” and I stamped with an unlabelled bright magenta stamping polish also from KADS.

This is what I ended up with, including topcoat. The photo is taken in daylight.

This photo is taken with flash. The stamping polish shows itself a bit brighter than it actually is.

And here’s “Make It By Any Means” alone; two coats and no topcoat yet. This photo is taken with flash.

Teal green shimmer

I bought today’s polish on a vacation in Germany. I didn’t know the brand but they had a couple of interesting colours and finishes, so I bought a small bunch.

#300 has a really nice formula and covers beautifully in two easy coats. The drying time is really good.

The colour is so peacock-y to me so I went with that theme. I stamped on two nails and added glitter on all the nails. Let me go through them here:

Pinkie: Peacock feather stamp from stamping plate EdM04. I stamped with China Glaze’s “Harmony”. The stamp isn’t quite as visible as I had hoped for. I made a few loose glitters stick to the stamp.

Ring finger and middle finger: I brushed topcoat by the base of the nails and sprinkled glitter into it before it dried.

Pointer: The peacock stamp is from stamping plate EdM04. I stamped with Moyra’s black stamping/foil-polish and made some of the glitter stick to the black polish.

There’s topcoat on all the nails.

I really like this and am impressed with this little pretty polish. I’m looking forward to trying the other ones.
