Spell Polish ~ Smile
Transference
Pink to blue/violet duochrome
Here’s the last Spell Polishes I bought recently. I want to show you
Smile Transference, a lovely Violet to pink duochrome!
I layered it over black on two of my fingers and to wore it on its own
on the other two fingers.
The formula is good and easy to work with. Smile Transference is a bit
more sheer than “No Place Like Home”, so I used three coats on its own to make
it opaque, and I have two coats over the black. No topcoat yet.
It’s pretty! There’s black polish under on the ring finger and the
middle finger. The pinkie and the pointer have only got the duochrome polish
on:
I can’t tell the difference, they all look the same to me, so in order
to save a bit on this relatively expensive polish, I’ll recommend layering it
over black. I have to mention that the drying time is slow, so three coats is a
bit much to sit through.
I love the colour shift!
I recently bought some small studs off evilBay. They are small so they
actually fit my nails and they came in really cool neon colours. I decided to
go for green – purple and green is almost always a hit in my book. I applied
topcoat over the stars, and here’s the final mani:
oooh yes, I dig it!
Every bottle of Spell Polish comes with a little card with a rhyme on. Here’s
the card that came with Smile Transference:
Number of coats: 3 (or 2 over
black)
Drying time: Slow
Drying time: Slow
Finish: Duochrome
Buy again: I’m undecided
because of the drying time. I would undoubtedly have said yes if it dried
faster.
I bought my Spell polishes

I LOVE that name - and the polish did make me smile - so a win-win!
ReplyDeleteIt's super pretty!
Ha, it's a kind of magic: The Spell worked! :)
DeleteI love such shades of purple!
ReplyDeleteMe too for sure :)
DeleteThe bottle is very cute and the stars are great with this polish!
ReplyDeleteThank you, that's so nice to hear, because I actually loved the little stars :)
DeleteWhat a gorgeous polish! Even the bottle looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I am glad that you like it too :)
DeleteI love this colour so much but I love it even more when you add green to it. Back in the early seventies when I was little my eldest sister painted her bedroom furniture purple with green stars and teardrops. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Your mani bought an instant smile to my face as it reminded me of that:)
ReplyDeleteThat's an awesome memory, thank you so much for sharing it with me! :)
DeleteAnd I really liked the addition of green, it gives it that kind of edge that I like so much :) So I'm really glad to hear you like it too, thank you!
What a pretty colour and I like those neon stars - they just stand out so well :-D
ReplyDeleteThey do, don't they! I like them a lot, also because they're so small that they don't overwhelm the polish or the nails :D
DeleteLove the neon stars over the purple!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I think it turned out really well too :)
