Orly: Va Va Voom
Described as hot pink

I rummaged through my Helmer to find a bright polish to wear today. I grabbed “Va Va Voom”, which is a beautiful bright polish all the way back from The Pin Up Collection from 2011. I browsed through my blog to see when I wore it last and it turns out that I only ever used this for water marbling in 2015. So it’s definitely time to wear this polish “for real”.

The formula is a bit crelly-ish but it still builds up in two coats. The drying time is really good.

I added some blue flower-water decals and topped it with Orly’s holo glitter topper “Shine On Crazy Diamond”:

This is the final result.

“Va Va Voom” is more coral than pink in my opinion, but definitely still beautiful.

I love this polish, nice a bright, just the way I prefer it.

ILNP: Metropolis

ILNP: Metropolis
Described as an Ultra Chrome Flakie shifts through super vivid shades of pink, fuchsia, purple, green, and even blue

“Metropolis” is also describes as been able to work on its own in 3-4 coats. I decided to layer it over purple.

So: 2 coats of Golden Rose’s Matte Satin #202 and 2 coats of ILNP’s “Metropolis”. Drying time of both polishes is good.

I stamped a pink design by the base of each nail. The design is from the stamping plate “JR-58”. I stamped with a no name pink stamping polish from Born Pretty Store.

This is the final design, including a layer of topcoat.

Here are the polishes I used today.

I had hoped for a little bit better coverage than I achieved with two coats over a coloured base. The flakies are really nice though.
