Colors by Llarowe ~ Rare Orchid
Magenta scattered holo
Rare Orchid
is from the recent Fall 2015 collection just like Aubergine Dreams and Last Harvest that I showed you earlier.
The formula
is great and the polish is very pigmented. You could get away with one coat if
you’re careful. I applied two though, to make sure that Rare Orchid presented
herself the best she could. The drying time is good. I applied a layer of
topcoat before I took my pictures and that definitely intensified the colour,
so I recommend to always use a topcoat when wearing this.
Here’s two
coats and a layer of topcoat; picture is taken with flash:
Isn’t that
colour just fantastic?
Here’s what
it looks like in low lights. I love this colour, it’s beautiful.
I stamped on
it. I found a giraffe-ish motif on my new stamping plate from Moyra:
04-Animalistic. I stamped with an old time favourite black: Black from
NailNation 3000.
Here’s my
final mani:
I’m
impressed by Rare Orchid myself. It’s much prettier in real life than the
swatches I’ve seen so far.
Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Drying time: Good
Finish: Scattered holo
Overall impression: Amazing colour! I can’t help
imagining what this colour would be like in a linear holo!
