Perfect Holographic ~ #1
Lavendar Linear Purple
I’m so over the moon over the fact that the sun in shining, so I pulled
out another one of my holos. This one is from a brand called “Perfect” and it
doesn’t have a name, but can only be identified by it’s number: 1!
Let me start out by telling you that this polish needs a lot of shaking
up before use. And I’m not talking about half a minute of gentle shaking, I’m
talking about shaking vigorously for over five minutes. I tell you: That’s a
whole lot of shaking going on.
And another thing: This polish loves an aqua base. I tried with my
regular base coat first, but I ended up with a streaky patchy mess, even after
the second coat. So I took it all off, and was very happy to find out that the
aqua base coat solves all the problems in that department :)
The formula is great though. It applies easily over the aqua base coat,
it dries fast and it covers really well. It was almost done after the first
coat, so the second coat was mostly for the camera.
Here’s what the pretty polish looks like in the sunshine:
The rainbows nearly blinded me! Here’s another shot:
I picked a simple stamping design for this. I found some stripes on my
plate Apipila 01 and used Altered Reality from China Glaze’s Tranzitions collection
for the actual stamping. I sealed it up with a topcoat (a mix between Depend
and BK topcoat – BK was runny and Depend was getting thick, so I merged them),
and here’s the final mani:
I used my squishy XL stamper, and that shows, but I keep practising and
at some point I am going to learn how to get the designs exactly right :)
My holos are for the sunshine. Have you got special polishes that you
only use in the summer?
