Maybelline ColoRama ~ 50
Lilac shimmer with
holographic glitter
I like Maybelline’s polishes. The formula is
usually pretty good, they have a large colour range, and they’re relatively
cheap. That’s nearly all the boxes ticked, right there.
Today I’ll show you #50, which is a girly
lilac shimmer with holographic microglitter. Application was easy and it only
took two coats to achieve desired opaqueness. Drying time is average, not slow
but not super fast either.
Here’s what two coats, and no topcoat look
like:
The shimmer is really pretty in this, and the glitter works for me. The colour alone isn’t really me to be honest, but that’s easy to get around. I taped my nails and painted one half of the nails with Wet n Wild’s “Diamond in the Rough”, which is a charcoal grey packed with silver and holo glitter. If I should have worn it alone, I would have applied two coats, but here I just applied one thick layer, and then removed the tape right after. I painted a silver line where the two polishes meet. I used Claire’s two way nail art pen and brush for that purpose. I sealed it all up with a layer of Catrice’s Quick Dry & High Shine topcoat, and here’s the final result:
Here’s a picture from a slightly different
angle:
And here are the polishes I used:
Every time I make a tape mani I like them more
and more. It’s such a great way to combine polishes. Are you also a fan of tape
manis?

I love the final result! Tape manis are so simple and are such a great way to combine colors. :D
