Intensive Rejuvenation for hands

Hand pack – Intensive Rejuvenation
”Helps soothe & soften dry, rought and chapped hands”

I got this pack of rejuvenating gloves in a swap. I’ve never seen anything like it here, but I’m always up for trying something new!

Here’s what the package looks like:

And here’s the instructions:

  • Wash hands
  • Put on gloves (a picture of a clock indicates “for 20 minutes”)
  • Rejuvenated hands

That sounds really easy, and who doesn’t want rejuvenated hands! :D

I washed my hands and opened the package. The first thing I noticed was the strong scent of rose perfume. It’s not my favourite scent, and I definitely would have preferred a more discreet perfume.

I pulled the gloves out of the package, and man, they were big!

Here’s a picture where I’ve put one of them on.

I must admit that I didn’t like wearing them, and that I counted every one of the 20 minutes. Imagine to pour out a portion of conditioner in your hands, and then wipe a cold, wet shower curtain around them, and then sit with that in 20 minutes. I haven’t tried sitting with a cold shower curtain, but I that’s how I imagine it feels. The gloves are made of plastic and there’s a lot of the moistening stuff inside. I did not like wearing them at all!!
When the 20 minutes had passed, I pulled the gloves off. My hands were really wet and they looked as if I’ve been sitting in a tub for a couple of hours :D

It didn’t say anything on the package about whether you should wash off the moist or to try and rub it in, so I tried the latter. It took half an hour before my skin had soaked it all up!

Does it work?
Yes, it works! My cuticles did definitely like this treatment and my hands did feel softer too.
But I keep getting the thought that a dense hand cream and a pair of cotton gloves would have done the same trick.

Have you girls tried anything like this? Did it work for you too?

  1. Nope - never tried something like this, and after reading this there are so many factors that will stop the thought even LOL
I'm quite sure the dense hand cream and cotton gloves is a worthy alternative...

    1. I believe you're right. I actually bought cotton gloves in Germany last time I was there, but darn, if I can remember where I put them, LOL!!

  2. I saw a similar product the other day, but did not buy it. I think the cremes I use are enough... :)

    1. I wouldn't buy anything like this myself either. It was very uncomfortable wearing these :)

  4. This is cool, but yes I think a good hand cream could have done the same. :D

    1. I think you're right. And a good hand cream would be nicer to put on :)

  5. I had something very similar from the German brand Rival de Loop. They were nicely moisturising and all, but the effect lasted a day only.. :{ I'm glad you found the ones that actually work!! :)

    1. I like Rival de Loop, but I haven't been lucky enough to find something like this when I've been in Germany. :)
