Ulta: Blues Cruise
Blue jelly with blue/purple microglitter

I found three polishes from Ulta in my infamous box of untrieds recently. I decided to check if they’re worth keeping or if I should move them on to a home that’ll love them more.

The formula of this first one, Blues Cruise, is sheer. I used three coats for my manicure and the drying time was average.

I decided to use some nail foils to make it prettier. It’s a magenta and a silver holo foil.

This is the final result, including topcoat.

I think this looks awesome.

This is “Blues Cruise” alone; three coats and a layer of topcoat.

Here are the things I used today.

“Blues Cruise” is pretty, no doubt about that. I’m not crazy about the three coats though, so this is not a keeper for me.

Note: It’s a good idea to use the tin foil method when you remove this, the glitter really sticks to the nails.

Number of coats: 3
Drying time: Average
Finish: Microglitter
Overall impression: Sheer formula, average drying time, pretty glitter
Buy again: No

  1. I really like “Blues Cruise”, a lot! I don't know how you kept it in your "box of untried polishes"... :-)

    1. At some point I bought so many polishes that there were many in that box that didn't deserve to be there. So many polishes, only 10 fingernails :D
