Darling Diva ~ Tina the Labradorite, Space Beetle and Early Riser

Darling Diva ~ Tina the Labradorite, Space Beetle and Early Riser
An attempt of making a lightening mani

Sometimes it’s nice to try something new – so I decided to try and make a lightning mani. This is my first attempt, and it shows, haha. Let me show you what I’m talking about:

What do you think about that? The base colour is Tina The Labradorite, a lovely vibrant blue from November 2014’s Sweet Addictions Box – check out swatches of it here. I sponged a bit of Space Beetle on (the bottle I’m holding in the picture), then freehanded the lightnings with a white crème polish from Savina called French White. When the lightnings were done I sponged a bit of Early Riser by the base of my nails, where the lightnings origins from.

This is my favourite picture of it:

And here is Tina the Labradorite on its own:

The Darling Diva sisters and the Savina stepsister:

If there’s one thing nail blogging has taught me then it is that practice is what it takes to be better. I don’t mind showing off the manis I’m not completely satisfied with – after all I know that I’m getting a little bit better for every time I try.

  2. The background is lovely - I see Savina :) I have some Savinas. I show manis I'm not 100% satisfied with too.

    1. It just proves that you need to practice to get better, so that's what I'm trying to do :)

  3. I can see lightening, its not perfect but it's good for a first go. I like it when you show us manis that you feel aren't perfect because it encourages the rest of us to have a go at something new.

    1. Thank you, that's sweet of you :)
It's actually also fun to take a stroll down Memory Lane and see how much I've improved over time. It's nice :)
