Rimmel: Cutie Colada
Golden lime green with glass flecks

"Cutie Colada" was part of a collection of five polishes, just like "Hawaiian Punch" I showed you yesterday. I think the collection came out around 2013 and it was really popular here at the time. The collection was called "Cocktail Colour".

Rimmel claims on the bottle that this is a one coater and that the one coat dries in 60 seconds. I find both statements incorrect. The formula is good but sheer, and I think "Cutie Colada" is the sheerest of the five. It takes two coats to achieve full coverage. The drying time is good, but it takes a couple of minutes more than 60 seconds for it to dry.

I made red and black swirs on my nails. Usually I wouldn't do red on lime green but "Cutie Colada" showed up more gold than lime green on my nails.

Here's the final result, including a layer of topcoat.

I love this, however simple it may seem.

Here's "Cutie Colada" alone; two coats and no topcoat. I wonder if I should have applied a third coat. I love the sparkliness!

And here are the polishes I used today.

I like this - and I think it would look really cool as a topper over green.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Glass fleck
Overall impression: Very pretty finish, sheer formula.
Buy again: I probably would

  1. I like the final manicure, a lot, but it's so strange to see that it looks completely different on your nails and in the bottle! :-)

    1. Yes, it was quite different on the nails. Maybe it would work as a topper as well :)
