77 Nail Lacquer: Aliens?!
Described as an indigo base that shifts red to green to blue to purple with purple to red shifting large particle pigment and gold geometric pigment

“Aliens?!” is from Polish Pickup from April 202. This polish was inspired by an alien like jellyfish living deep in the Mariana Trench.

The formula is quite sheer and also a bit patchy. I ended up with FOUR coats before I was happy with the outcome. The drying time was really good though, which was a huge plus, now that I needed that many coats.

I added floral stickers onto my nails, and then I brushed a bit of glitter over the flowers with CND Creative Play’s “Bling Toss”.

Here’s the final result. This photo is taken under a lamp.

Here’s “Aliens?!” alone; four coats and no topcoat yet. The shimmer is nice – but the shift is not very prominent.

Here are the things I used today.

I have to be honest: I am not impressed. Four coats is way too many for a dark polish like this. I was happy that the drying time was really good. And then I wasn’t really wowed about the colour shift.

Number of coats: 4
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Duochrome with shimmer
Overall impression: Very sheer, patchy formula. Not impressed with colour shift, but really great drying time
Buy again: Nope

  1. It's a pity that it has such a sheer and patchy formula, but I like the colour and I also like the final floral manicure that you created :-)

    1. I was really surprised over the sheerness, it's so unusual when the base colour is that dark. It's not a keeper because of the many coats :)

  2. Ugg that annoys me when there isn't an obvious shift. Though I have to say, it looks nice despite the issues!
