How to keep the hands and cuticles soft and moist

Over the years I have been struggling with dry hands, cuticles and hangnails. Hangnails are the worst, because I pick them if I get them. And picking hangnails leads to very painful cuticles for me because I pick until they bleed. So I have to stay on top of it and keep my cuticles soft and moist.

I have tried a ton of different hand creams. Lots of them didn’t do much of a difference on the cuticles. I have also tried nail oils but that doesn’t really fit my temper because it takes so long before it’s no longer greasy on the hands.

The best cuticle cream I’ve tried was from Sally Hansen but it’s been years since they stopped producing it. But this has turned out to be a life saver – or a cuticle saver, if you will.

Let me introduce you to O’Keeffe’s Skin Repair Bodylotion.

They advertise “Dry skin relief in 1 use”. And I agree! If your cuticles are dry, it takes one application to make them feel much better.

O’Keeffe has also made a hand cream. I have tried it but I don’t think it’s any better than the body lotion. And you get much more product for your money by buying the body lotion.

The formula is nice too. Not runny and it’s super easy to rub into your hands. It doesn’t leave a stickiness or greasiness on your hands.
