Catrice: Get The Blues
Blue to purple duochrome with shimmer

I have had “Get The Blues” for quite a while. Today’s the day where I decide whether it’s being allowed to stay here or not.

It’s a sheer polish so I decided to layer it over black to make sure that it showed me its prettiest side.

So: One coat of black, one coat of “Get The Blues”. Then rays of blue glitter both from the base and the tips of the nails. The blue glitter is Essense’s “Holo Rocks”.

Here’s the final result including a layer of topcoat.

I like it with the rays of glitter.

And here’s “Get The Blues” alone; one coat over black. I really wish that the purple shift would show itself more, but no such luck.

Here are the polishes I used today.

Okay, the decision is made: “Get The Blues” doesn’t get to stay here. I am not impressed by the shift, or that this needs to be layered over black.

Number of coats: 1 over black
Drying time: Good
Finish: Subtle duochrome
Overall impression: I’m not impressed. The shift is almost non-existant, and the polish doesn’t quite work on its own
Buy again: No
