Ellagee ~ Rainbows All Over
Your Blues
Blackened blue base with
holo shimmer
The first time I saw Ellagee polishes was on Facebook. I saw pretty
pictures of pretty polishes, and I just knew that I might want to buy some of
them at some point. When Norway Nails announced that they were going to have
them in the shop I knew it was a sign: I bought three of them.
I am going to show you "Rainbows all over your blues" first. It is
described as "blue jeans colored base with ultrafine holographic shimmer." I don’t
agree entirely with that description – to me it’s more black than blue, but
perhaps it’s just me. But it’s certainly not Denim blue, which is what the "blue jeans" description suggests.
The formula is a dream! The polish glided right on. No need for an aqua
basecoat here – I just used my regular basecoat, and experienced no problems
with bald spots or dragging or anything likr that. Drying time is good. And the
best part? It only takes one coat to make this look fantastic. Yes, you read it
right. One coat!
Take a look at what that one coat looks like, and there’s no topcoat on:
This next picture is the one that shows the polish’s blue side the best.
It also shows you the cutest thing ever: A keyhanger shaped like a nail polish
bottle, filled with Rainbows All Over Your Blues!
Isn’t that just cute? I absolutely adore it!!
I have taken all the pictures in this blogpost with flash. The sun is
not out much this time of year, but it’s hard to keep the pretty polishes in
boxes for 4 or 5 months until the sun come out again, so flash is how I manage
that little problem for now.
I am only going to show you one more picture today. Look at the pretty
scattered rainbows!
I didn’t do any nail art on this. I wanted to, but I accidentally dented
two of the nails before I got that far, and instead of trying to repair that, I
removed the polish, and moved on to the next one waiting. You can see which one
that was tomorrow!
This polish is such a winner in my book. I love the formula, and I
especially love the fact that this is a one coater! And the keyhanger is the
cutest bonus ever!

Thank you, I do too :)
DeleteBeautiful and the pictures really show the color nicely. My camera never picks up very well the glitters or shimmer :)
ReplyDeleteThank you :) Some polishes can be really tricky to photograph.
DeleteWow, very impressed with this! Definitely not jeans blue though lol
ReplyDeletehaha, no! :D But at least it's still very pretty! :)
DeleteA very beautiful polish indeed! I think it looks more blue than black, but I agree that it's definitely not denim blue :)
ReplyDeleteI am totally in love with this, it's soooo pretty in real life too :)
DeleteAnother gorgeous holo! It looks like a dark teal green to me, not very blue at all, but it's pretty no matter the name. :)
