IT Style ~ #170

IT Style ~ #170
Red with pink microglitter

Here’s another beauty from Italy! I bought so many pretties there. It took a while to actually find them but it was so worth the search.

The formula was good and covered well. I used two coats for my manicure but I could easily have got away with just one. Don’t you just love that!?

I applied a layer of silver/holo glitter over it. It’s a beauty from Alix Avien. It’s another nameless polish, but it’s number 110. It’s an oldie and I love it!

I sealed the whole thing up with topcoat and this is my final manicure taken in ordinary daylight.

I adore this. Sometimes glitter is all a polish need.

IT Style ~ #170

This is the IT Style polish on its own. It’s two coats and no topcoat yet. This picture is taken in ordinary daylight. There’s no topcoat involved just yet, but the microglitter pops a bit more after the topcoat.

IT Style ~ #170

Here are the two polishes, one from Italy and one from Turkey.

IT Style ~ #170

I’m well impressed with my polishes from IT Style and I will check out their range again if we ever go to Italy again.

Number of coats: 2 but it’s a one coater
Drying time: Good

Overall impression: I think it’s a very pretty polish and I love the quality

Pretty Serious ~ The Pink One

Pretty Serious ~ The Pink One
Shocking pink with blue shimmer

I was in the mood for pink today – but not just any pink. It had to be a pink with wow-effect, and I knew exactly which polish I wanted to wear: Pretty Serious’ “The Pink One”. It’s a gorgeous shocking pink packed with blue shimmer – it’s an amazing polish for sure.

It’s been four years since I featured it last on this blog so I think it’s time for it to shine again. You can check out my old post if you’re in the mood for it too, haha! :D

I used two easy coats for my manicure. The formula was really good and the drying time is pretty average.

I topped it with a holographic silver glitter from Alix Avien with the number 110. I stamped some stripes on it too. The stripes are from Lina’s stamping plate Make your Mark! 01, and I stamped with Colors by Llarowe’s stamping polish Turq’d.

Here’s the final manicure including topcoat:

Isn’t that the beautiful!? It’s as bright and blingy as I wanted it to be.

This is The Pink One on its own: Two coats and no topcoat. I love this polish!

Here are the three polishes and the stamping plate I used.

The Pink one is really amazing, I love it. It’s also one of the few polishes I actually got a backup bottle of!

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Average
Finish: Shimmer
Overall impression: Great formula, fantastic colour and shimmer.

Colors by Llarowe ~ Obsessed with Marilyn

Colors by Llarowe ~ Obsessed with Marilyn
Deep blood red linear holo

Today I’m going to show you a mani I did in the kitchen while I cooked dinner :D I was in a hurry so I thought I was capable of doing both. I think I did pretty well – I didn’t burn the food and my nails ended up looking pretty good!

The formula is great and the polish covers in two easy coats. The drying time is good, so I don’t really have any issues to report.

Take a look at two coats and no topcoat, the picture is taken with flash.

I think this colour is really gorgeous and I like the deepness of the rainbows.

Here’s a low light picture.

I had to do something simple so I sponged some glitter on the tips, using a glitter from Alix Avien. It hasn’t got a name - it’s simply number 110. I applied a layer of fast drying topcoat and here’s my final mani photographed with flash:

And here’s a low light picture:

I am really happy with this!

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Fast
Durability: Good
Finish: Linear holo
Overall impression: Great colour, good quality, deep rainbows.

Darling Diva ~ Space Beetle

Darling Diva ~ Space Beetle
Duochromatic, holographic glittery colourshifting polish

I simply don’t know how to describe this polish colour wise. Carrie herself describes it like this:

This is that awesomey beetle wing like polish that I worked with to turn into a fantastic linear holo!

I have often seen girls debate which colour this should be layered over. I didn’t have that problem, it was obvious to me that it needed to be layered over Isadora’s dark green shimmer “Beetle Green”. I’ll show you what that looks like at the end of the post.

Anyway, I applied two layers of Space Beetle over the dark green. Application was easy and drying time was good. And I had sunshine!

Take a look at this amazing holo:

Can you see as many colours as I can?

Here’s a lightbox pic. This shows a lot of colours, also the pink this polish contains.

What did I do with it? I figured that a polish called Space Beetle needed a bit of space to actually work. I wanted to make a night sky! I applied a layer of Alix Avien #110, which is a silver/holo glitter in various sizes. It’s perfect for a mani like this. Take a look for yourself if you don’t believe me.

Pretty cool, yes?

Here’s the polish I layered it all over: Isadora’s Beetle Green. This is one coat:

What would you have layered Space Beetle over?

Number of coats: 2 over a base colour
