Essie: Lady Like (in a dotticure)
Dark beige crème

I'm not usually wearing nudes or beige polishes because I like my nails more colourful than that. I received "Lady Like" in a grab bag, and you know the rule: No polishes leave the premises untried!

The formula is good and it also covers well. I used two easy coats for full opacity and the drying time is really good.

I made magena, turquoise and purple dots on it. I used three polished from Golden Rose for my dots.

I topped it all with Top Shelf Lacquer's holo glitter topper "It's Not What You Drink".

Here's the final result in daylight, no sun.

I really like this dotticure.

Top Shelf Lacquer: Long Lost City Of Atlantis

Top Shelf Lacquer: Long Lost City Of Atlantis
Beige base with gold/green shimmer UCC flakes that shift gold/green/orange/blue

"Long Lost City Of Atlantis" was a part of The Polish Pickup Group from April 2020.

The formula is pretty thick but I didn't have problems with application of the polish. I used two coats to achieve full opacity and the drying time was good.

I made a hot pink brush stroke down the middle of each nail with W7's "It's Pink". I stamped a musical/heart motif on top of the pink and topcoated it all to seal it up.

Here's the final result.

And once again.

Here's "Long Lost City Of Atlantis" on its own; two coats and no topcoat.
The colour doesn't really work well with my skin tone.

Here's the stuff I used today.

"Long Lost City Of Atlantis" was limited edition and is no longer available. It's a nice work friendly polish, that unfortunately clashes a bit with my skin tone.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Crelly with flakes
Overall impression: Thick formula, good coverage, nice drying time. Not exactly my colour but good as a base for nail art
Buy again: No

Catrice ~ George Blueney with holo stamping

Catrice ~ George Blueney
Dark blue with blue and purple shimmer

Meet Mr. George Blueney, a deep, dark, handsome stranger!

I love Catrice polishes. They’re usually well pigmented, easy to apply and fast drying. Mr. Blueney is no exception. I applied two coats, even though one might have been enough. The shimmer is fantastic. It doesn’t show it’s purple side much, but the blue… oh wow!

Here’s what two coats look like, no top coat:

I stamped on it, using a Kiko holo with number 399, called Silk Taupe. I don’t think I am going to use this polish on it’s own, so I thought I’d give it a go for stamping. And it works!

I used the stamping plate from Cheeky CH11, and stamped all my nails with the same pattern. I topped it up with BK top coat, which was so kind as to not smear my design. BK, I thank thee :D

It actually reminds me of tortoise shells, even though the base colour is blue and not green or brown. I think it is pretty cool.

Here are the two polishes, I used:

What do you think of stamping with holo polishes? Cool or not cool?
I can’t wait for the sun to come out and play soon!
