IT Style ~ Glitter #168

IT Style ~ Glitter #168
Red jelly with microglitter

Today I’m going to show you an absolute beauty from Italy: IT Style #168. It’s a classic red with microglitter; the kind of polish that I see as my kryptonite.

The formula is amazing and super easy to work with. The polish just glided on effortlessly and with no desire to flood cuticles. The polish is really well pigmented – I used two coats for my mani; and it dries up “gritty” because of the microglitter. It’s nothing that a layer of topcoat can’t fix though.

The stamp I used is from BP-L013 and the stamping polish is Black from El Corazón. I need a new bottle of that soon btw.

This is the final mani including a layer of topcoat in the sun.

Isn’t that just gorgeous? I thought the hearts was a perfect motif for this beautiful red.

This is the polish on its own, also in the sun.

And this picture is taken in the lightbox. There’s no topcoat involved just yet.

I’m glad I found IT Style on my trip. And I am glad I bought more than just one of them :D

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Jelly with microglitter
Overall impression: Great formula, easy to work with, it’s just beautiful

Smokey Mountain Lacquer ~ Eternal

Smokey Mountain Lacquer ~ Eternal
Purple with holo dust

I got Eternal in a grab bag. I have found out that it’s a Facebook group custom from February 2015.

The formula is really good and so is the coverage. I used two easy coats for my mani. The polish dries up “gritty” from the holo dust – it’s not a big deal because a layer of topcoat smooths it all out, but I thought I’d mention it because that’s what bloggers do.

I used it with two water decals I bought from Aliexpress.

Final mani in the sunshine:

 Isn't it pretty and spring-y?

And this is what in looks like in low lights. It’s a lovely purple and I think the decals match the polish just perfectly!

Here’s Eternal along with El Corazón’s white polish 418/1, which I used as underwear for the decals. The decals are so sheer that they only work with white under them.

It has been ages since I bought any Smokey Mountain Lacquers. I’m glad that this one was in the grab bag!
Eternal was limited edition and is no longer available.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Holo shimmer effect
Overall impression: Lovely colour,  sweet holo sprinkle

Wycon ~ Magnetic #504

Wycon ~ Magnetic #504
Lavender magnetic polish

Wycon is a brand I found in Italy last time I was there. I love finding new brands of polish on my vacations!

I thought I had giving up on magnetic polishes since I never really got the desired effect, but I bought three of Wycon’s magnetic polishes, just in case they might work.

Let me show you what it all ended up looking like:

The formula is great and the polish is almost self-applying. I used two coats for my mani but I’m pretty sure I could have got away with one coat. Did the magnetic effect work? Yes it did! Finally! I hovered a strong magnet over the middle of my nails to get one vertical stripe on each nail.

This picture is taken in the sunshine. Check the middle of each nail! I’m thrilled!

Here’s the same thing in my lightbox. There’s so much shimmer in the polish that it almost drowns the magnetic stripe. But I know it’s there and I love it!

It’s so great to know that I can get magnetic polishes to work. :)

Number of coats: 2 but it’s a one coater
Drying time: Good
Finish: Heavy shimmer with magnetic effect
Overall impression: Really cool formula, and the magnetic effect shows!
