Nicole by OPI: That’s What I Mint
Teal textured polish with microglitter

“That’s What I Mint” is from Nicole by OPI’s collection called Gumdrops. The polish isn’t mint or anything near mint, but a gorgeous teal!

The formula is really good and the polish is super easy to apply. Drying time is good on the first coat – the second coat took quite a bit longer to dry. That was pretty typical by the time this polish came out.

I painted approximately one third of the nails yellow and the made teal dots on the yellow – take a look at the final result, including a layer of topcoat.

I think this is pretty cool. And when I look at it at the photos I think the yellow looks like a slice of cheese because of the dots :D That was totally unintended.

This is “That’s What I Mint” alone; two coats and no topcoat.

I think “That’s What I Mint” is super pretty and I am willing to forgive the longer drying time.

Nicole by OPI ~ Blue-Berry Sweet On You

Nicole by OPI ~ Blue-Berry Sweet On You
Blue texture

“Blue-Berry Sweet On You” is from Nicole by OPI’s Gumdrop collection from Summer 2013. It’s a sweet blue textured polish I bought it when I was in New York.

The formula is on the thin side but it still covers in two easy coats. The drying time is average.

I made some random dots on the tips. I used these polishes:

The magenta: Models Own’s “Oval Plum”
The dark blue: Colour Alike’s “B. a Rainy Mood”
The white: El Corazón’s “Iron Hard #418/1”

This is what it all ended up looking like, including a layer of topcoat. It’s a daylight picture.

And this is “Blue-Berry Sweet On You” alone; two coats and no topcoat. The texture is “pleasant”, I didn’t accidentally scratch myself with it, haha!

Does NOPI still make polishes? I haven’t seen them around for a while.

Nicole by OPI ~ Best Pink Ever & CND Creative Play ~ Bling Toss

Nicole by OPI ~ Best Pink Ever & CND Creative Play ~ Bling Toss
Deep pink packed with shimmer, slightly duochromatic & Silver and holo glitter

Nicole by OPI’s “Best Pink Ever” came out in 2012 and was a Wallmart exclusive. I bought this a long while ago, and I am pretty sure I bought it in a blog sale.

The formula is on the sheer side but I did manage to get it to cover in two coats. The drying time is good.

The polish looks duochromatic in the bottle but it doesn’t really transfer to the nails. It’s a nice pink anyway and I love the shimmer.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat.

I added glitter because I wasn’t in the mood for fancy nail art.

The glitter is from CND’s line of Creative Play polishes and is a clear base with silver microglitter and silver and holographic hexagons.

I applied one layer of glitter over the pink and topped it all with topcoat.

Here’s my final manicure:

Here are the two beauties side by side. You can see the colour change on the bottom of the NOPI bottle.

That’s it for today. Simple but nice.
