Soft yellow créme

First of all: HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I hope that 2023 will bring you happiness and joy! ♥

First the first day of the new year I chose a bright yellow! :)

The formula of “Mellow Yellow” is on the thin side. I used three coats for my nails today and the drying time was good.

I placed some patterned nail vinyls on top and painted one coat of ILNP’s “Molly” on top of it, before removing the vinyls.

This is the final result, including a layer of topcoat. The photo is taken with flash.

Morgan Taylor: Electric Remix

Morgan Taylor: Electric Remix
Baby blue packed with golden shimmer

"Electric Remix" is from Morgan Taylor's MTV Switch On Color collection from Summer 2020. There are 6 shimmering polishes in the collection. I bought four of them. There will be links to the other polishes by the end of each post.

The formula of "Electric Remix" is good. It's easy to work with. I used three coats for my nails today. I could have got away with two coats if I wasn't a blogger with a camera that picks up details that can't been seen with the naked eye. The drying time is good.

I made it into a nail vinyl gradient. I used a yellow and an orange stamping polish from El Corazón for my gradient.

I topped it all with "Northern Lights", a gorgeous holo glitter topper from Out The Door.

Here's the end result in the sun:

The polish is blue in the bottle but looks more green on the nails because of the golden shimmer.

Here's "Electric Remix" alone. The shimmer is really gorgeous. This is 3 coats and a layer of topcoat.

Orly: Spirit Light

Orly: Spirit Light
Gold-green with a shimmery chrome finish

Orly recently came out with an online exclusive series of beautiful polishes: The Aura Collection. It's a collection of six polishes and I was so lucky to get my hands on five of them. I'm going to show you all five over the next days and I will post links to the other polishes in the collection as I post them.

First one up is "Spirit Light", a really pretty shimmery duochromatic polish.

I used two easy coats for full opacity. The formula is delicious, no problems whatsoever. The drying time is good.

I made it into a nail vinyl manicure. I found some floras vinyls and sponged a mix of red and coral stamping polishes on it. I topped it all with China Glaze's holo microglitter "Fairy Dust".

Here's how pretty it all ended up.

I wasn't quite sure about what colours I should use on "Spirit Light", but I think that red and coral works just fine.

Here's "Spirit Light" alone; two coats. This photo is taken under a lamp to show the subtle colour shift between gold and green.
