Nubar: Midnight Glory
Light sky blue with orange/coral shimmer

“Midnight Glory” has been sitting in my box of untrieds in like forever so today I’m going to let it shine here on the blog.

The formula is still good even though the polish has evaporated quite a bit over the years. I can see that other swatchers have been using many coats to make this cover – but my old bottle covers in two easy coats. The drying time is good.

I made an orange and black pattern on it. The orange is OPI’s “Summer Lovin’ Having A Blast” and the black is OPI’s “Never Have Too Mani Friends”.

This is the final result, including a layer of topcoat.

Do you like this colour combination? I wanted to match the orange shimmer, but I’m not sure how well I did.

This is “Midnight Glory” alone; two coats and no topcoat. I’m not quite sure why they would call such a pale polish something with “midnight”, but oh well!

This polish have been waiting so long because it’s too pale for me. It’s a lovely shimmer but the colour doesn’t do it for me.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Strong shimmer
Overall impression: Pale polish with a lovely shimmer, good coverage and drying time

Walking down Memory Lane with Nubar ~ Reclaim

Walking down Memory Lane with Nubar ~ Reclaim
Green linear holo

"Reclaim" is the most amazing green holographic polish. It has been in my stash for 7 years and shame on me for only wearing it once in all these years!

This bottle is actually my second bottle of Reclaim. My first bottle hasn't obviously not run out from the one time I used it. But I stumbled over a blog sale where this bottle of Reclaim sat, ridiculously cheap. I thought that a backup bottle wouldn't harm anyone, so I bought it.

I used two easy coats for full opacity. The drying time was good.

I originally stamped on it, but I didn't like the result so I removed that immediately and added glitter instead. I used W7's "Christmas", which is a green, silver and red glitter.

Here's the final result photographed with flash.

And this is Reclaim alone; two coats and no topcoat. It is photographed in the evening sun.

I absolutely love "Reclaim"; it is a really gorgeous polish. I love having a backup bottle too!
