WellNails ~ Drunken Nights at MacClaren’s

WellNails ~ Drunken Nights at MacClaren’s
Clear base packed with multisized green glitter in various green shades, with darker green half moons

I’m very proud to present this polish to you, because WellNails is – as far as I know – the very first indie brand in Denmark. And I was so lucky to win a mini bottle of this great glitter in a giveaway.

But first I needed to put on some underwear for it. I went for a duochrome shimmer polish from Cosmetic Arts. It doesn’t seem to have a name or a number, which is a pain, but it’s purple, shifting discretely to green and golden. I thought it would be perfect underwear for a green and golden glitter. And for two of my nails I went for a plain black crème, namely Essence’s “Black is Back”, which is a perfect one coater.

One coat of black, two coats of Cosmetic Arts, and no top coat on either of them. Here’s how that looks:

Then I applied one layer of Drunken Nights at MacClaren’s. The polish is packed with glitter. One dip in the bottle and the brush is loaded with glitter. It was easy to spread, no problems in that department at all. And drying time was good!

I sealed it all up with a coat of Seche Vite top coat:

I really like this glitter, I love the colours and the quality, and I’ve already ordered some more of them.

The name refers to a TV series (still) I haven’t seen, “How I met your Mother”. I suppose I should to check it out at some point, because people are (still) talking really positively about it, even though it’s been around for quite a long time.

Sephora in Denmark!

It finally happened! Sephora opened a huge store in the centre of Copenhagen yesterday. I was there, obviously. And I took a few photos!

Here's what I came for in the first place:

Sephora's own nail polish line. The small bottles hold 5 ml (0.16 Oz) and cost 35DKK (6.14US$/3.85GP£). The larger bottles hold the double amount and are only a fraction more expensive, but they don't come in as many cool colours!

They also sell Nails Inc. It's the first time I've seen that here. Prices are high though - from 120 to 135 DKK (21US$/13.2GP£ to 23.7US$/14.85GB£). I've seen them online in European shops for about 100 DKK.

Here's some other stuff I liked. Lipsticks!

There were so many colours that it was insane! I believe the price was 120DKK (21US$/13.2GP£) for a lipstick.

Bath stuff. Too bad I don't have a tub!

And more bath stuff. I'd absolutely love to own a tub!!!

And the best of all? I got a free present. I could chose between a tiny bottle of perfume, a lip balm and a nail polish. Guess which I chose! ;)

Here it is, my first Sephora nail polish. It's called L15.

They had so many cool colours, but you could only chose from a limited range of colours that they selected. I liked this blue/teal one the best.

The formula looks great and the brush is nice and flat.  I like that.

I'm going back there today. I'm invited to a special event. Hurray!

Sephora in Denmark

Yay! Sephora is finally opening a store in Denmark! This is great news, because a lot of us love Sephora - but they don't ship to Denmark.

Now it happens. On May 9th 2012 the dream should come true!

The first thing I'll be buying is one of these:

They are sooo cute!

Sephora i Danmark!
