Yayoge: #012
Lavender strong linear holo

The formula of Yayoge is good and the polish itself is a bit sheer. It builds up in two coats though and the drying time is good.

All my Yayoge polishes seems to have a “vague” pigmentation. I decided to pair this one with Nail Nation 3000 polish – a dark purple linear holo called “#WipeoutTransphobia”. I made the design with nail vinyls.

This is the final result including a layer of topcoat.

I like this a lot!

This is Yayoge’s #012 alone, two coats and no topcoat yet.

I like the rainbows in all the Yayoge polishes but I’m not impressed with the lack of colour. Perhaps I’ll try to layer them over a darker colour at some point.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Strong linear holo
Overall impression: Good but sheer formula, weak colour but lovely rainbows

Cupcake Polish: Rock My World

Cupcake Polish: Rock My World
Pink jelly packed with orange to gold to green shifting iridescent flakes and a complementing orange to gold to green shifting iridescent shimmer

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I wish you all the best for a great 2021. Hopefully we'll get rid of Corona shortly, so we can get some sort of normality back into our lives.

"Rock My World" is from The Polish Pickup from May 2020. I got it in a grab bag last time Cupcake Polish had a sale.

The formula is good and easy to work with. It's sheer though. You can build it up to full opacity in three coats, but I wasn't quite in the mood for that. I decided to test out my thesis on my little finger nail and applied three coats for full opacity on that. I layered "Rock My World" over a deep pink on the remaining nails - we'll get back to that in a moment.

I applied a stripe of pretty tape down the middle of each nail and made purple stripes to outline the tape.

Here's the final result:

I must admit that the tape doesn't allow the polish to shine much.

So here it is in all its glory. One coat over a deep pink shimmer on my pointer, middle and ring finger, and three coats alone on my pinkie. I really like "Rock My World" layered, the flakies really pop that way.

Here are the things I used today, minus the purple which I forgot to add to the picture. The purple is Herome's WIC "Canberra".

Number of coats: 1 coat over a coloured base or 3 coats alone
Drying time: Good

Finish: Flakies

Overall impression: Nice flakie, very pretty colours. I prefer it over a base because it makes the flakies pop more.

Zombie Claw Polish: Orange You A Zombie

Zombie Claw Polish: Orange You A Zombie
Described as a grape SOUR patch kid color, filled with SWEET linear holo that shifts from red to orange to yellow for zombie effect

"Orange You A Zombie" from Zombie Claw Polish was a part of Polish Pickup for May 2020.

The formula is good and the polish covers in two coats. The drying time is good.

I made a bit of nail art with two of Colors by Llarowe's stamping polish "Lilac Petals" and "Sparkling Diamonds". I placed a pink flower on each nail. The flowers are nail stickers.

Here's the final result including topcoat. This is taken with flash to show off the holo effect.

This is the same thing in daylight. It's quite a pretty colour out of the flashlight as well.
