I have had Lesbihonest for a very long time. I don't quite remember how long, but I received way back when I used to swap pretty polishes with polish fairies abroad. I stashed it away to keep it safe - and re-found it recently.

The formula is great and so is the coverate. "Lesbihonest" covers perfectly in one single and fast drying coat. I used two coats because that's how I roll, but the second coat honestly didn't make a difference.

I topped it with a glitter from Essie called "You're So Cupid". It's a mix of white, red and fuchsia glitter and hexes.

"Lesbihonest" is a great polish. I love the formula, the colour and the effect. It's beautiful.

Blood red matte shimmer

It's time for another walk down Memory Lane. This time I've dug out "Fatty's Got More Blood" from Manglaze. This polish was on my wish list for a very long time, because it wasn't at all easy for us non-Americans to get our hands on Manglaze's polishes back then. It was the Norwegian webshop "Norway Nails" that made it happen for me, and I was thrilled when I received this blood red matte beauty in the beginning of 2013.

Manglaze says:

ManGlaze is the only matte nail polish made for men and really badass women.

I love that!

The formula is good and I used two really fast drying coats for full opacity.

I made a shimmery pink stripe down the middle of each nail with Essence's "Cute But Cool", and then a glittery stripe on each side of the pink stripe. I used Kiko's #030 from the Sugar Sparkles collection. I attached a black star by the base of each nail.

I topcoated it all and my nails where done. Here they are:

I love the final result of this.

This is Manglaze's "Fatty's Got More Blood" alone; two coats and no topcoat. I have always been impressed with polishes that can be both matte and shimmery at the same time.

Bright pink with sparkles, dries up matte

Here’s what Manglaze writes about this beautiful pink polish:

“Yup. It's fucking pink. Bright enough to distract a hoard of zombies while you do that one-handed shotgun cock thing. Ok, that sounds odd. But if you wanna keep your brains, you gotta be able to reload on the fly. FO&D comes wrapped in a horrific scene by the talented and quick wrist of artist Jason Goad.”

The formula is really good and easy to apply. It takes two coats for full opacity and the drying time is really good. The polish dries up matte.

I decided to try a new technique that I’ve seen somewhere on the internet. It’s the technique where you kind of “double stamp”: First I picked up the blue part of the stamp on my stamper and then, while the blue pattern was still on the stamper, I picked up the white triangle. When both patterns were on the stamper, I transferred the pattern onto my nail. I wasn’t very precise when I placed the stamp on my nails, but bear in mind that this was my first attempt of this technique.

The stamping plates I used were “ZJoy-014” for the triangular shape and Lina’s “Feeling Shapely! 01” for the zig zag-pattern.

The blue stamping polish is Colour Alike “B. a Rainy Mood” and the white one is El Corazón’s stamping polish “White”.

I topped with a layer of “Northern Lights” holo glitter topcoat from “Out the Door”.

I was happy with the result. What do you think?

And here’s “Fuck Off and Dye” on its own; two coats and no topcoat. It’s a beautiful, beautiful pink!

Here’s something funny! There were two layers of protective film on the stamping plate with the triangular pattern. I am so glad that the film is blue so I could see right away that there were two layers :D
