OPI ~ Danny & Sandy 4ever

OPI ~ Danny & Sandy 4ever
Deep charcoal grey with silver shimmer

"Danny & Sandy 4Ever" is from OPI's Summer 2018 Grease collection.

I used two coats for full opacity and the drying time was good.

I applied a layer of flakies on it, I used UP Colors' "Banho de Mar", which is a beautiful blue/green flakie topper that I got way back when flakies were popular the first time around.

Then I applied little silver heart and topped the whole thing with topcoat to seal it all up. Here's the final result.

I think the flakies suit the polish perfectly.

This is "Danny & Sandy 4Ever" alone; two coats and no topcoat.

"Danny & Sandy 4Ever" is the only polish I bought from the Grease collection.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Shimmer
Overall impression: I love the shimmer in this polish
Buy again: Maybe (mostly because grey isn't my favourite colour)

Leighton Denny ~ Crazy Times

Leighton Denny ~ Crazy Times
Jade green crelly

Here’s another one of the Leighton Denny polishes I bought in Poland. The formula is good and the polish covers well. I used two easy coats for full opacity and the drying time is good.

The star design is from the stamping plate BP-11. I stamped with the mint green stamping polish from Born Pretty Store “Summer Mints”.

I added flakies on top of it all. I used “Banho de Mar” from “Up Colors”. It’s a blue/green flakie and it’s from when flakies were popular the first time around.

Here’s my manicure taken in the shade.

I like the colour combination here.

This is “Crazy Times” alone; two coats and no topcoat. Look how shiny it is.

Coolcos ~ 02

Coolcos ~ 02
Dark bottle green with lighter green shimmer

My boyfriend decided to buy me some polishes last time we were in the mall together. He fell for this deep green shimmer and actually bought it even though I had said it would probably be too dark for me.

Many of you have probably not even heard about Coolcos. It’s a relatively new Danish brand, which produces both polishes and other sorts of makeup. They have quite a large range of polishes, all of which have in common that they smell really weird.

Anyway, back to this particular polish. The formula is really good and it only takes one coat to achieve full opacity. Drying time is average.

And I am really glad that he bought this one, even though I said no. It’s really pretty. This, sweet girls, is one coat, and no topcoat:

How’s that for a pretty green?

This shimmer makes this really special. I think I’ll try and slip in a couple of mixing balls – that way I hope to mix some more of that delicious shimmer that’s sticking to the insides of the bottle!

I decided to pair it up with a flakie from Up Colors called “Banho de mar!”. I got that at a polish swapping event I joined. We were 7 girls and it was great fun! You should try it if you ever get the chance.
Anyway, I applied one coat over the dark green and topped it with a layer of topcoat, and here’s the final result:

I love the blue and green flakies over the dark green!

Oh yes, I like this a lot! Later that day we went outside and painted the back door in the yard, and then that lovely mani was ruined. Oh well… Life!

Number of coats: 1
Drying time: Average
Finish: Fantastic shimmer polish
Overall impression: I love that it’s a one coater and and that the shimmer isn’t shy. The smell is weird, but that’s a thing I can easily live with.
