Nail Mail

Hi girls,

I've had quite a lot of nail mail recently, so this post is to show you a little bit of what I received:

First one up is from a swap with Kaki from Glitterobsession.com. You gotta love a girl that has a blog with a name like that, right? :D

Anyway, I received four cool polishes from her:

Maybelline: Amethyst Ablaze, Purple Icon, Purple Possibilies.
Color Club: Starry Temptress Topcoat

Amathyst Ablaze is a really pretty metallic polish, which I intend to use for stamping. Purple Icon is a reddish purple which is going to look fab on my toe nails, and Purple Possibilities was surprisingly enough a crackle. I was like: "I wonder what shredded means..." then I tried it on, and was "Oh, it means crackle!" LOL
The Starry Temptress topcoat has been on my wish list in like forever, so I am very pleased to find room for that amongst my other Color Club polishes!

Thank you Kaki, for providing me with these pretties!

Next swap up was with Kristin from The Manicured Monkey.

Like Kaki, she also sent me really cool polishes.

Essie: Shine of the times, China Glaze peppermint cuticle oil, Milano Jewel FX: Fuchsia

A flakie and a glitter! And cuticle oil that I've been looking at for a long time, but have hesitated to buy. It smells fantastic and it feels great, so this bottle will be used up for sure.

Zoya: Reva and Julieanne
These are my first Zoyas and I'm thrilled. If they look just anywhere near as good on the nails as in the bottle, then they are definitely not going to be my last ones.

Nubar: Reclaim, Gem and Indigo Illusion
Nubars! I love that brand. Reclaim has been on my wish list for a very long time now. And glitters and multichromes are always welcome in my stash.

Let's take a closer look at Reclaim and Gem, but this time in the sun:

Nubar: Reclaim and Gem
Now it's more obvious why Reclaim has been a lemming, right? It's a gorgeous holo. And Gem turned out to be full of holo glitter. Nice!!

Kristin also added extras for me:

Sally Hansen: Salon Effects

Nail polish strips with glitter. These are my very first nail polish strips, so that'll be fun to try.

She was also kind enough to add hand lotions and nail foil:

Goodies!
And she added one polish more. I can't show you that one though, because I've got secret plans with that. ;)

Big thanks to Kristin for sending such pretty polishes my way!

I also shopped a bit myself. I bought some Sation polishes:

Sation: Prettiest Player, Summer Night Sparkle, Most Hue-nique, Miss Popular
I am very impressed with Sation's new polish line. There are so many cool polishes that I'd like to buy. But I only bought these four glitters for now!

Last nail mail up is polishes from A England. I've been wanting some of their polishes for ages, so when they had their last promotion sale I finally gave in and bought five:

A England: Perceval, Avalon, Lady of the Lake, Tristam, Saint George
Saint George was not a part of the promo sale, but I've been eyeing him since the first time I saw him swatched, and I just had to have him! He's absolutely fabulous! ♥

That's it for this time, girls. I hope you enjoyed the show :)
I'm having a luxury problem here: I don't know which polish to try first!

Nail Mail from Japan

Hi girls,

Yes, I got nail mail all the way from Japan. I asked Tera from Nails in Nippon if she was interested in doing a swap with me, but since she was moving back to the US from Japan shortly after, she offered to go shopping for me instead. And I am very happy with that arrangement, because this means I suddenly had access to brands from Japan.

Here's what met my eyes when I had ripped the box open:

Looks pretty amazing already, huh?

Okay, let's see what was in the box!

pa polishes: AA27, AA01, AA21, AA23
Glittah! And the blue one has even got little dolphins in it!

pa polishes: A46, AA18, AA14
More glitter! I'm really looking forward to getting these onto my nails!

Canmake: 41 and 28
And last, but not least:

Tins: 061 and Revlon: Whimsical
Tins is pink packed with holographic glitter. Tera decided to throw Whimsical into the box as a treat for me. I really appreciate that gesture!

Thanks Tera, for shopping for me! <3

Sephora in Denmark!

It finally happened! Sephora opened a huge store in the centre of Copenhagen yesterday. I was there, obviously. And I took a few photos!

Here's what I came for in the first place:

Sephora's own nail polish line. The small bottles hold 5 ml (0.16 Oz) and cost 35DKK (6.14US$/3.85GP£). The larger bottles hold the double amount and are only a fraction more expensive, but they don't come in as many cool colours!

They also sell Nails Inc. It's the first time I've seen that here. Prices are high though - from 120 to 135 DKK (21US$/13.2GP£ to 23.7US$/14.85GB£). I've seen them online in European shops for about 100 DKK.

Here's some other stuff I liked. Lipsticks!

There were so many colours that it was insane! I believe the price was 120DKK (21US$/13.2GP£) for a lipstick.

Bath stuff. Too bad I don't have a tub!

And more bath stuff. I'd absolutely love to own a tub!!!

And the best of all? I got a free present. I could chose between a tiny bottle of perfume, a lip balm and a nail polish. Guess which I chose! ;)

Here it is, my first Sephora nail polish. It's called L15.

They had so many cool colours, but you could only chose from a limited range of colours that they selected. I liked this blue/teal one the best.

The formula looks great and the brush is nice and flat.  I like that.

I'm going back there today. I'm invited to a special event. Hurray!

Danish summary:
Sephora åbnede sin første butik i Danmark i går, midt i København. Hurra!!!

March Nail Mail

I promised myself not to buy polishes during March.

I couldn't keep that promise... :/ But I got some great polishes. You wanna see?

Here's a couple that I actually ordered in the beginning of February, that only arrived 5 weeks later. They obviously don't count!!

B.O. 71 and 68

Here's a back shot so you can see what they're about:

B. O. 71 and 68
Silver glitter in many sizes and silver stars in small glitter. Nice, eh?

Next ones up were also ordered in February, and do therefore not count ;)

Jordana Red of Hearts and Green Glitz
L. A. Colors Color Craze: Glistening Purple and Treasure Island
L. A. Girl Glitter Addict: Eutopia, Animate and Nostalgic
Glitter addict sounds just like my kind of polish!!

Golden Dragon and Suzi skis in the Pyrenees
The Gosh looks so pretty and was on special, and Suzi skis in the Pyrenees is a very dark matte purple that I also ordered in February!

So that was February's polishes. What ruined my promise to myself to begin with was my supermarket having Revlon polishes on special. They don't usually retail Revlon, so I had to just check them out, right?

Beach, Ocean Breeze, Passion Fruit and Emerald city
The three first ones are scented and the last dark green one is a matte.

Belle, Slipper and Star

Glitters! You know I can't do without them!!

Metallic Blue, Metallic Blue, Spark me up, Pink Road, U must have this, Canberra
Five polishes from H&M and one from Herôme. It was Alice Snow who nudged me to go to H&M and check out the polishes on special. The last one is a gift from my boyfriend. So none of these count! :D

To be continued.....

February Nail Mail

Here are the polishes that I enrolled in my stash during February.

First some Barry M polishes, that I just couldn't live without:

Lilac foil, Lavender and Hologram
Lilac foil should be just as perfect for stamping as their silver and gold foil polishes. We'll see about that.

Vivid Purple, Bright Purple, Shocking Pink and Racing Green

I bought the following in a blog sale:

China Glaze: Techno Teal and Blue Hawaiian. Orly: Royal Velvet

Dare to Wear: Love Potion and Dancing Shoes.
Cácee BFF: Lucy. Finger Paints: Vintage Violet
Sally Hansen: Insta-Dri: Blazing Blue and Rapid Red.
Teflon Tuff: Wink, and X-treme Wear: Disco Ball

I was also so very lucky to win the first prize in Caitt's Giveaway. Here's what I won:

OPI: Pearl of Wisdom, I'm not really a waitress and The Color to Watch

And she even threw an extra prize in, which wasn't mentioned at all:

BYS: Voodoo Violet
Thanks, Caitt, I can't tell how excited I was to find this extra gem in the box!!

I bought these myself:

Sinful Colors: Sugar sugar, Pearl Harbor and L.A.Colors: Voodoo

L.A.Girls Rock Star: Punk, Overdose and Groupie

Jordana: Purple Glam and Cosmic

That's it for February. I have said to myself that I won't be buying polishes in March, but I have ordered some polishes in February that hasn't arrived yet, so there will be a March Nail Mail post whether I keep that promise to myself or not. :D

We'll see how it goes. Perhaps I stumble over a polish that is too hard to live without! ;)

My Hungary Haul

Hi girls!

I was in Hungary for five days over Christmas, and man did I buy a lot of polish. It was so cheap there - it was impossible to say no. :D I have sorted them all out, photographed them and named them, all for you. ♥

Here they are:

Aden Cosmetics

This brand doesn't name their polishes, and they don't give them numbers either. So from left to right it's a magenta/purple glitter, a metallic light blue, a purple glitter and a red/silver glitter. These were ridiculously cheap!

Be-Yu: 326, 329. Miss Sporty: 060, 313, 311.
I already knew Be-Yu from last time I was in Germany, and I like the brand.
I bought a dark shimmery blue and a dark shimmery purple.
Miss Sporty is new to me - the polishes are: an greenish blue, a very dark purple and a foily silver.

Catrice: Alluring Night, Forget me not,  I Wear My Sunglasses At Night, After Eight.

These are my first Catrice polishes. I've heard so much good about them, so I chose these four: A dark blue, a glittery purple, a black with various colours of shimmer and a dark green. They all look beautiful.

Glitter polishes from Claire: Minis: Purple, red, blue and pink. Normal sizes: Green and pink.

Can you tell that I'm a glitter addict? The mini bottles were a set of six - I already gave the gold and silver glitter away. The others are purple, red, blue, magenta, green and another purple. All glitters.

Lovely: None of these polishes has names or numbers on them.

Lovely is another brand I've never heard of before. I'm looking forward to trying them though, and if they're not like they look, I'll use them for frankenpolishes. :D

Essence: Stamp me! Silver, Time for romance, Choose me!, Where's the party?

Essence! I'm so sad that I don't have access to Essence polishes in Denmark. I went crazy, and bought a whole lot of them...
Here's silver stamping polish, a brownish pink with glitters, a blueish green with glitters and a green/purple duochrome.

Essence toppers: Circus Confetti, It's purplicious!, Hello Holo, It's purplicious, Vampire's: Hunt me if you can!

More Essence polishes, toppers.
Multicoloured, purple, holographic, pink/purple and black with glitter.
I'm puzzled that two of them have got the same name even though they're clearly not the same colour...?!

Essence nail art twins: Edward, Blair, Julia, Gabriella.
I would have bought the entire set of Essence twins, but these were the only ones available.

Flormar: U06, U26, 431, U13.

Flormar. Never heard of it before. But the colours look so pretty!

NYX: Pink Avenue, Max Factor: Extra Glitter, Blue Energy, Silver.

I am all excited about the NYX flakie and the top glitter polish from Max Factor. The blue is so vibrant looking and I thought the little charcoal would be fun to play with.

NYC: Disco Ball and Lights-Camera-Glitter. Maybelline: Electric Blue. Manhattan: 78S

My first NYC polishes, silver glitter and pink/blue glitter. And two pretty blues from Maybelline and Manhattan.

s-he: 290, 110, base coat, 280, 255.

S-he. Another brand that's completely new to me. But pretty indeed! :)

So, that was the huge haul I filled my poor suitcase with.
What do you think?
Are there any of them you'd like to see before the others, or...?
