Delush Polish ~ Keep an Ocean Mind

Delush Polish ~ Keep an Ocean Mind
Turquoise linear holographic with flashes of blue and teal

“Keep an Ocean Mind” is from the Holo Hookup box from April 2017. I bought this pretty polish in a blog sale, so I only own this polish from that box. The others are pretty too though.

The formula seems a bit sheer but it builds up in two easy and relatively fast drying coats.

I applied some iridescent nail decorations by the base of each nail. I bought the decorations from Aliexpress and they are a tad thicker than I expected them to be. It does create a pretty cool effect though.

Here’s my final manicure including two layers of topcoat (one to stick the decorations into and one to seal it all up). The photo is taken with flash.

“Keep an Ocean Mind” is full of rainbows no matter the lighting. Here’s a daylight picture on an overcast day.

Delush Polish ~ Keep an Ocean Mind

This is “Keep an Ocean Mind” alone; two coats and no topcoat yet. I took the photo with flash.

“Keep an Ocean Mind” was limited edition and is no longer available.

Glam Polish ~ Fruit of the Poisonous Tree

Glam Polish ~ Fruit of the Poisonous Tree
Rich deep purple with fuchsia/red/copper sparkle and scattered holo effect

Fruit of the Poisonous Tree is from the Welcome to Storybrook collection and is quite the most gorgeous polish in the collection. The colour is rich, deep, sexy and vampy - just to mention a few of the superlatives that spring to mind.

The formula is fantastic and the polish is almost self-applying. The drying time is a bit on the slow side but the coverage is really good. You could get away with one coat of this if you were in a hurry, although I used two coats and it did make a difference: It made the colour even richer!

Take a look at two coats and a thin layer of topcoat:

Look at those sparkles! Aren’t they just amazing???

The polish is also gorgeous in low lights. I seriously love this shade of purple.

I gazed at it for a long while, not really wanting to cover any of this prettiness up! At the end I went for a bit of glitter by the base of my nails; I used Delush Polish’s Nue Girl for that and I just sponged it one with a makeup sponge. I sealed the whole thing up with another layer of topcoat and here’s the final mani:

And a non-flashy picture:

Verdict:
I think I just got myself a new favourite purple! It’s amazing!

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: A bit slow
Finish: scattered holo with shimmer
Overall impression: That’s my new precious!

I bought Red Handed from Edgy Polish. It sold out really quickly, but keep your eyes peeled, it might get back in stock!

Delush ~ Trendsetter and Nue Girl

Delush ~ Trendsetter and Nue Girl
A couple of pretty winter polishes

I received these two polishes as extras in my order from Edgy polish. When I’m being send pretty polishes they always end up being displayed on my blog.

So the first one I’m going to show you is Trendsetter, a smokey blue/grey shimmer. The formula is good, no worries to report at all. Two coats with fast drying time between each is what it took.

Take a look at how nice this polish looks in my lightbox:

I find this polish extremely classy because of the blue sheen and the shimmer is so pretty!

Here’s a flash picture for you:

See how the shimmer glistens!

I really like trendsetter, it’s a really cool polish!

I topped it off with the other polish I received: Nue Girl. It’s a clear base with silver/holo glitter in various shapes: Circles, triangles and hexagons. I didn’t fish for any of the glitters and you know the drill: One dip in the bottle per nail. The glitter spread out evenly without much effort.

Here’s what Nue Girl looks like in the lightbox:

The holo glitters shine brightly even in lower lights.

Here’s a flash picture:

One last shot, just because I can.

Verdict:
Both these polishes are winners in my book. Trendsetter is classy and can be used at any possible occasion, and Nue Girl is such a cool glitter that can spice up any mani.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Shimmer
Overall impression: Classy shimmer and coolio glitter!
Buy again: Yes to both

Delush ~ Ocean Sapphire

Delush ~ Ocean Sapphire
Sapphire blue jelly with iridescent glitters as well as hologlitter

16th of December, I’m getting excited now! I’m beginning to really look forward to Christmas!

Today I’m going to show you a gorgeous blue polish. Ocean Sapphire is the first polish I’ve got from Delush, so I was quite excited to try it out.

It’s a jelly, meant for either using on its own or layering over another polish for effect. I like to find out how my polishes work on their own, so that’s what I was going to do.

Jellies require a bit of patience - but I can assure you that it’s totally worth the effort. It takes three coats to reach full opacity – three easy coats. Drying time is pretty average, so no problemo in that department. And man, this baby can really shine.

Here’s three coats, and a layer of topcoat:

Ocean Sapphire is the perfect name for this pretty polish.

If you look closer you can see the hologlitter shine too. It’s sooo pretty!

See what I mean?

Here’s one last picture for you:

This reminds me of the most beautiful glittery ocean on a beautiful summer day. It’s beautiful and shiny and almost invites you to dive in. Yes, I really like this polish! So based on this one experience with Delush I’d say thumbs up! :)
