New York haul, part II

I went to New York on holidays last week, and here are some of the polishes I brought home. For the first part of the haul, click here

Let's take a look at the polishes, shall we?

First ones up are Essies; Penny Talk and Toggle to the Top. Penny talk is bought with stamping in mind, that collection of Mirror Metallics stamps so well! The other one reminds me of Leading Lady, just darker and with more glitter! I'll make a comparison post at some point for sure!

Essie Penny Talk and Toggle to the Top

Then there's Q R S polishes. I've never heard about that brand before, but thought I would try a couple ones out. The left one is a holo glitter, the right one is neon in real life.

Q R S: Glittering Rainbow and Snapdrag

Nicole By OPI isn't that easy a brand to get your paws on here, so I bought three from the Gumdrop collection.

Nicole by OPI Gumdrops: That's What I Mint, My Cherry Amour, Blue-Berry Sweet on You

I also went to Forever 21, and bought these three Love & Beauty-polishes. I wasn't impressed by any other colours than these. In fact: I did find the selection a bit boring!

Love & Beauty: Purple Silver. Love & Beauty Sand lacquers: Purple Silver and Blue Jewel

I didn't find many Color Clubs, and that made me wonder where the US girls find them. The only Color Club I bought was this effect polish. The other two are Sally Hansen X-treme wear polishes. I have a lot of red glitters like that one - it's my kryptonite - I have to have them all...

Color Club: Pearl-spective, Sally Hansen: Green Rocket and Red Carpet

I love Sally Hansen Insta-Dri! I acidentally bought the blue one twice, I must really like it ;) It's the first time that ever happens that I buy duplets by mistake!

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri: Pink Fast, S-Pear Time, Current Trend, Quick Jeanious

Here are three polishes from OPI's Mariah Carey holiday collection from 2013. Some of you know that I am not a huge OPI fan, but I actually felt these three speaking to me ;)

OPI: In My Santa Suit, It's Frosty Outside, Kiss me at Midnight

Icing! I love Icing's polishes. I chose six - these three: A glitter, a shimmer and a textured polish.

Icing: Frost Yourself, Teal for Real, Tini Bikini
And apparantly Icing changes their bottles now. I bought these three blue ones in new bottles: Two denim effects and a splatter glitter. I'm looking forward to trying them on :)

Icing: Jean'ie in a Bottle, Daisy Duke, Galaxy

That was the last part of my New York haul. 58 polishes came with me home, and I love them all. Do you have any favourites that speak to you?

New York haul, part I

Hi girls,

I haven't been around much the past week. I went on vacation to New York, and look what I brought with me home!! I have decided to make two blogposts about my NY haul, since I think there are too many pictures for just one post.

So here we go: First ones up are 6 blackheart polishes, that I bought in Hot Topic. The first two are three colours in one; it's probably meant for decoration more than actual use, but I don't mind. I think they are beautiful.

Blackheart polishes from Hot Topic.

The next three are also from Hot Topic; three My Little Pony-polishes. I found them in a clearance basket, which is why the lids are a little smashed up. Regular price was US$7.5, I got all three for US$9.40. I love bargains like that!

My Little Pony

The next two are also from Hot Topic. It's Sally and Jack from The Nightmare Before Christmas. I wasn't quite sure whether to buy these two or not, but figured that this was probably my one and only chance to actually get these. So yes, now they're mine.

The Nightmare Before Christmas: Sally and Jack

I also went to Sephora. I wanted to buy Hello Kitty-polishes, but they only sell those online. So I thought I'd try their new X-series instead. I picked 8 (out of a million, I think). The first three on this picture are textures, the fourth is an effect polish that changes between blue and purple.

Sephora X textures: Astonishing, Celestial and Vortex. Sephora X Effect: Kaleidoscope

Here are three glitters and one from their "ordinary" line (white cap).

Sephora X glitters: Mr. Positivity, Catalyst, Freaky like Freud. Sephora X: Pedal to the Metal

I found Butter London's in Ricky's. It was hard to choose, but I picked these three:

Butter London: Jack the Lad, Knackered, Fiddlesticks.
We do have Urban Outfitters in Denmark too, but the polishes aren't the same, plus they are ridiculously expensive here. I picked these three; two neons and an effect polish:

Urban Outfitters: Tiny Shorts, Hottub, Oyster

And these three. I believe the last one could be a dupe of Deborah Lipmann's Mermaid's Tears. I'll check that out for sure!

Urban Outfitters: Chilly, Mystic, Sea Dust
The last three in this post are from Wet n Wild's Fantasy Makers series. I found them in one of the numerous Halloween shops I saw.

Fantasy Makers: Red Glitter, Silver, Purple Glitter. Holo dust.
That's the first half of the polishes I bought on my vacation. Do you see anything you like?

London haul

I spent a week in London recently, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I visited a lot of different sights, saw a lot of things and did also get time to do a bit of shopping. I was asked to show my London haul, but it has taken a bit of time to get the polishes I bought sorted out, since I also bought polishes for swaps and for a couple of friends.

But - here's the haul that I think I'm going to keep:

The haul
There's a lot, isn't there?! Let me show you a bunch of them up close.

First there's four Fashionista polishes. It's a brand that's new to me, and I loved these four colours:

Fashionista: Ruby Slippers, Laila, Jet Set & Mystical Dragon

Invogue is another brand I haven't tried before. This is a series of suedes, and I've seen beautiful swatches of these on other blogs.

Invogue: Hot Gossip, Sophisticated & Emerald Dust

Kiko! These five are from their collection of mirror-polishes. They're highly pigmented and no less than perfect for stamping.

Kiko Mirrors: 616, 618, 621, 622 & 625

Kiko Sugar Matt! I bought all the shimmery ones except for the pink one. I regret now that I didn't buy that as well! :/

Kiko Sugar Mat: 643, 644, 645, 646
And three more Kikos. These three are from their Celebration LE series. Again, these are the shimmery ones from the collection.

Kiko Celebration: 621, 623, 624

Nail Pop. I have never even heard of this brand before, but look at how pretty they are! There's a blue and a orange/green flakie on top of the row, and the other four are glitters.

Nail Pop: Top row: Pearl Effect, Sequin Effect
Bottom row: Catsuit, Dazzle, Glamrock, Dorothy
Two holos from Topshop and a green flakie from Inglot. I already have holos in pink and blue, but can a girl really have too many holos? I think not!

Topshop: Wistful & Moondance. Inglot: 203
The last miscellaneous polishes. Two from No7, which is a brand I haven't tried before, but I've heard that it should be good, so I couldn't leave the purple and the burgundy shimmer alone. And three polishes from Miss Sporty - two glitters and a metallic-ish polish.

Misc No7 and Miss Sporty

That's the polishes that I decided to give you a closer look at. Do you see anything you like? Do you think it's a nice haul? :)

Have a great Sunday, everybody! ♥

Another haul of polish from Russia

Hi there girls,

Here are some polishes I've been waiting for for almost two months: These polishes are all part of a swap package from my dear friend Anastasia from Little World of Coloured Nails! The waiting time has been almost unbearable long, so I was very happy that the polishes finally arrived!

Let's take a look at some of my new pretties from Russia, shall we?

Divage Special Effects: 4910, Jeanmishel without name or number, Golden Rose 194
I'm looking forward to trying all these. Jeanmishel seem to be a special effect polish, and shimmers and glitters are always welcome in my stash.

Dance Legend: 11 from Red Show Collection, and #40

Red glitter! And a red polish with the most amazing holo-glitter!

Pupa 606 and 34, Eva 062
Burgundy with pink shimmer, blue holo and pink holo. Now we're just waiting for the sun to shine!

Maybelline Colorama: 53, 171A, 54 and 170A
Maybelline has made some pretty cool polishes in their Colorama series. Pink with micro holo glitter, silver shimmer, red with holo glitter and blue jeans with shimmer. I love them all!

I'm so pleased with all my new pretties, and have the luxury problem that I don't know which one to try on first! :D

Thank you Anastasia, for doing this great swap with me! <3

PS. I'm still working on my UK haul. Expect it to be up by the end of this week.

Miscellaneous Nail Mail

Hi girls & goddesses,

Here's another bunch of stuff I received in the mail! I'm far behind with these posts, but I'm trying to keep up. Anyway!

First one up is from a swap with sweet, sweet Caitt from Caitt's Nails.
She sent me two fantastic polishes:

OPI DS Original, OPI DS Reflection
Amazing polishes, I can't wait to try them on! I mean, look at the holo in that OPI DS Original on the left! I've googled a bit, and the beauty does transfer onto the nails - amazing! Thanks a million Cait, you're a star!!

Next polishes up come from Canada, and is from lovely Lauryn. She sent me four Quo by Orly polishes, that I've been wanting in my stash for quite some months now!

Quo by Orly: Mystic Night, Turquoise Moonlight, Night Sky, Celestial Star
These are sold in Canada only, so I'm very happy to include these beauties in my stash! Thank you, Lauryn, I appreciate the effort!! <3

Next polish up is very dear to me, it's a China Glaze from the OMG collection, my first and also my only, namely QT. I got that in a swap with fantastic Kristin from "Manicured Monkey".

China Glaze: QT

Pink holo, I think I'm going to swoon! Thanks, Kristin, I'm very grateful!

Next lot is from Sweet Natalie. I don't think she has a blog (Natalie please correct me if you have, so I can correct it here), but she was so sweet to supply me with Max Factor Fantasy Fire polishes, hooray. She also sent me a green polish from Hot Looks called "Look at me", take a look:

3 x Max Factor: Fantasy Fire, Hot Looks: Look at Me

One of the Fantasy Fire polishes has already found a new home, but the remaining two stay here with me! :) Thanks Natalie, I'm glad these beauties are finally mine!

Next lot up is from sweet Anna from Going to the Showing. I got holographic goodies from Anna:

Layla Hologram Effect: Ocean Rush
Swoon, right? It's so pretty that it's almost beyond words!

Hits Speciallita: Hefesto
I can't wait to try these on. They were totally worth the waiting time, Anna, thank you so much!! <3

Last polish up is a polish I won in a giveaway over at Passion 4 Polish. I actually didn't win to begin with, but the actual winner didn't reply in time, so they picked an alternative winner: Me! Hurray!

What did I win, you ask? Let me show you:

Dollish Polish: Super Bass
A mini bottle of Dollish Polish Super Bass! I'm a huge glitter fan, so this is right up my alley. So thanks to the first winner for not getting back! :D

That's it for now. Great polishes, right? You should check out the other girls' blogs - I promise you that they're all great fun and it'll be totally worth it! <3

Nail Mail from Japan

Hi girls,

Yes, I got nail mail all the way from Japan. I asked Tera from Nails in Nippon if she was interested in doing a swap with me, but since she was moving back to the US from Japan shortly after, she offered to go shopping for me instead. And I am very happy with that arrangement, because this means I suddenly had access to brands from Japan.

Here's what met my eyes when I had ripped the box open:

Looks pretty amazing already, huh?

Okay, let's see what was in the box!

pa polishes: AA27, AA01, AA21, AA23
Glittah! And the blue one has even got little dolphins in it!

pa polishes: A46, AA18, AA14
More glitter! I'm really looking forward to getting these onto my nails!

Canmake: 41 and 28
And last, but not least:

Tins: 061 and Revlon: Whimsical
Tins is pink packed with holographic glitter. Tera decided to throw Whimsical into the box as a treat for me. I really appreciate that gesture!

Thanks Tera, for shopping for me! <3

Nail Mail from Elsa

Another nail mail post! I just love these posts!!

I did a swap with Elsa from "Like a Candy Shop", who lives in Italy. I must admit that I had been looking very much forward to this swap, because I didn't really know what to expect. I don't know which polishes they sell in Italy, but I was sure she would send something pretty, because I had seen all the beauties on her blog.

But when the mail man finally arrived, I got very disappointed. Not because of what she sent - but because this is what the envelope looked like:

Someone had cut the envelope open! And I knew that there was 6 polishes on the way to me, so I was very disappointed to find that there were only 4 polishes in the envelope! I wish no good for people who steal nail polishes!!

But anyway. Here's what the remaining four looked like, all wrapped up nicely:

I unwrapped them eagerly, and I was thrilled to see what it was:

Catrice: Dirty Berry, debbY: Color Play 80, Kiko: 277 and 341.

I love them all! And Elsa has been so kind to promise me to re-send the two missing polishes, which I obvioulsy don't know what is, but I'm sure they're just as gorgeous!

So thanks, Elsa, for doing this swap with me! <3

Nail Mail from Katee

Nail mail - you just gotta love it! <3

I did another swap with Katee from "A girl and her polish", and was very excited when the parcel showed up. I love getting parcels, and especially if there's nail polish in them!

I opened it, and see what was inside:

And inside of that large bag of bubble wrap was this exciting sight:

Eep!! :D I carefully unwrapped each and every one of them, and here's what was inside:

Looks like a great haul, right? Let's take a closer look at them all:

OPI - Fiercely Fiona from the Shrek collection

Spoiled by Wet n Wild: Trust Fund Baby, Are Mermaids Real? and Jewelry Heist

Spoiled by Wet n Wild: The Parking Meteor Expired, My Saturn Broke Down, Distant Memory, Show me the Money

Spoiled by Wet n Wild: Ants in my Pants, Pick your Poison, Shuffle the Deck

Isn't that just a great haul?

Thanks Katee, for doing this swap with me. <3
