Claire's: #13491 Copper

Claire's: #13491 Copper
Copper with pink shimmer

Copper isn't really "my" colour but this polish from Claire's has the most gorgeous pink shimmer so I just had to buy it.

The formula is really good and it took two easy coats to achieve full opacity. The drying time was good.

The stamp is from the stamping plate "St. Happy by GoGo Only". I stamped with a regular nail polish from Max Factor called "Burgundy Crush".

Here's how it all ended up looking like including a layer of topcoat.

I love these two colours together. The stamp is great too.

Here's "#13491 Copper" alone; two coats and no topcoat. Look at that beautiful shimmer!

Different Dimension ~ Glamorous

Different Dimension ~ Glamorous
Darkened teal shimmer polish with color contrasting aurora shimmers

Glamorous is one out of six polishes in the "You Are Beautiful" collection. I picked four from this collection and Glamorous wasn't actually one of them. My boyfriend advised me to buy the entire collection, and it didn't take much effort to convince me that I needed all six of them.

The formula is really good and the polish covers well. I used two coats for full opacity. The colour is super potent so I needed to paint my nails very carefully in order to not get polish on the cuticles. The drying time was good.

The stamp is from the stamping plate "St. Merry" from GoGo Only. I stamped with "Chrome Blue" from Models Own.

I sealed it all up with a layer of holo flakie topcoat from El Corazon, it's got number 421h/25.

Here's the final result.

This is a daylight picture. Isn't this just pretty?

And here's Glamorous on its own; two coats and no topcoat. The polish is packed with shimmer.

These are the things I used today. The bottle shot of Glamorous shows that it has got green and purple in it as well. That didn't show up on the nails though.

Glamorous is a really pretty polish. The reason I didn't think of buying it in the first place is because it's so relatively dark.

Here are the links to the other polishes in the collection:

Overall impression: Great polish, beautiful shimmers, a little too dark for me
Buy again: No, but that's not the polish's fault

Ellagee ~ Whirling Dervish

Ellagee ~ Whirling Dervish
Moss green base packed with golden shimmer and copper microflakes

Today’s polish is a custom that my dear friend Carolyn had made in two copies: One for her and one for me. It’s a super pretty polish packed with shimmer and flakes but it’s also really hard to describe colour-wise. Is it green? Is it gold? Or perhaps a colour in between? I’m not quite sure.

Let me show you the final mani first:

I mean, look at that? Doesn’t that just look good? This next photo reveals the green base even more.

The stamp is from GoGo Only’s St. Happy, that Carolyn also sent me a while ago. She’s such a gem!

Before I stamped, I dapped a very few glitters onto the Whirling Dervish. I used Layla’s CE55 for that purpose.

Here’s Whirling Dervish on its own. I used two easy coats for my mani and the drying time was really good.

Here are the polishes I used, including Moyra's stamping topcoat.

This is the video by Kalander that the polish was inspired by:

Whirling Dervish is a custom so it can’t be found in any shops. I’m so pleased that it lives in my Helmer.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Shimmer/flakie
Overall impression: Wow, this is a really impressive polish!

Celestial ~ Poipu Sunset

Celestial ~ Poipu Sunset
Pink linear holo

Today I’m wearing pink! Poipu Sunset is a beautiful pink and is also a Facebook group custom. It’s On the way to Onomea Bay’s sister. Click here to see her, she’s a beautiful green!

The formula is really good like I’m used to with Celestial by now. I used two coats for my mani and the drying time is good too, no issues to report at all.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat taken with flash:

I also like the colour in lower lights. The pink is dark enough to work for me, yay!

I dapped on a bit of purple textured shimmery polish that I received in a swap with sweet Joanne. Then I stamped on it, using my super cool Gogo Only stamping plate that another sweet girl sent me, namely Carolyn! The name of the stamping plate is St. Happy. Perfect name too.

Here’s the final result:

One of the downside of having small nails is that some motifs are meant for big nails, and then it gets hard to see what it really is. This motif is of hearts. It’s easiest to tell by looking at the middle finger.

Here are the two polishes I used.

Let me just take this opportunity to send out happy thoughts and thanks to all the girls from all over the world that I’ve swapped with during the last years. I really appreciate the fact that I can enjoy things and polishes from all over the world.

Poipu Sunset was limited edition and is no longer available.
