Essence ~ Anything Goes

Essence ~ Anything Goes
Red toned purple crème

Let move right on with Essence’s new collection of polishes called “Shine, Lase & Go! Gel nail polish”. The polishes do not require a lamp to dry, they dry like ordinary polish.

I bought six of them until now and today I’m wearing the fifth one of them: “Anything Goes”. It’s a gorgeous red toned purple!

The formula is good and I used two coats for full opacity. The drying time is good.

I stamped on it. I used one of my old stamping plates from Cheeky called CH10 and I stamped with two stamping polishes from El Corazón: “Orchid” and “Blue Neon”. I topped it with the holo glitter topcoat from Out The Door: “Northern Lights”.

Here’s the final manicure, including topcoat.

I really like this combo!

This is “Anything Goes” alone; two coats and no topcoat.

This one is my favourite of the six polishes I bought. There are also a couple of reds in the new collection, but they were sold out in the shops I looked for them in.

Essence ~ Crashed The Party?!

Essence ~ Crashed The Party?!
Silver and holographic shimmer and microglitter

Let move on with Essence’s new collection of polishes called “Shine, Lase & Go! Gel nail polish”. The polishes do not require a lamp to dry, they dry like ordinary polish.

I bought six of them until now and today I’m wearing the fourth one of them: “Crashed The Party?!”. It’s a mix of silver and holographic shimmer and microglitter and I originally thought that this one was a topper. A quick swatch on the nail wheel revealed that this isn’t a topper.

The formula is good and I used three coats for full opacity. In real life I could have got away with two coats but the camera picked up a hint of nail line with two coats. The drying time is average.

I added Snoopy stickers on two of the nails and purple vertical lines on all of the nails. I used Different Dimension’s “Never Forget Where You Came From” for the stripes.

Here’s the final manicure, including topcoat.

This is really sparkly and pretty.

I am positively surprised over this polish. It was great to find out that it isn’t a topper.

Number of coats: 3 for the camera

Essence ~ Take Me To Heaven

Essence ~ Take Me To Heaven
Baby blue with a super subtle shimmer

Let move back to Essence’s new collection of polishes called “Shine, Lase & Go! Gel nail polish”. The polishes do not require a lamp to dry, they dry like ordinary polish.

I bought six of them until now and today I’m wearing the third one of them: “Take Me To Heaven”. It’s a baby blue polish with an ever so subtle shimmer. I can see it in the bottle but it doesn’t transfer onto the nails.

The formula is good and I used two coats for full opacity. The polish is not self-levelling, so I wouldn’t wear this one without a topcoat to even everything out.  The drying time is really good.

I made random glittery stripes on it because I was in a glittery kind of mood. The glittery polishes are both from Girly Bits. The blue one is called “Star Spangled” and the magenta one is called “Personal Hotspot”.

Here’s the final manicure, including topcoat.

I like the randomness of the stripes but I can see on the pictures that I should have gone over a couple of the stripes more than once. Oh well, it shows way more on the photos than it did in real life.

This polish is great as a base for cool nail art, I really like it! I wish the shimmer wasn’t so subtle though.
