Smitten Polish ~ Proto 34

Smitten Polish ~ Proto 34
Sky blue linear holo with microglitter

Today I'm wearing a super pretty blue prototype from Smitten polish. I bought it in a blog sale recently - it amazing that pretty polishes like this one are even being resold!

The formula is really good and I used two fast drying coats for full opacity. The polish dries up completely flat, nothing sticks up from the nails.

I decorated my nails with wintery water decals. I have come to like water decals a lot because it's such an easy way to get really pretty decorations on the nails.

Here's the final result including topcoat. This first photo is taken with flash to show off the holo goodness.

And here's Proto 34 alone; two coats and no topcoat yet. Isn't that just a lovely polish?!

Blueness ~ #111

Blueness ~ #111
Purple linear holo

Today I'm wearing a really pretty purple polish with holographic goodness - at least to begin with.

The formula is really tricky because the polish dries wickedly fast. The first coat came on patchy and streaky no matter how hard I worked, and the second coat didn't make up for all the irregularities. I ended up using 3 coats and there were still places where it could have used a fourth coat.

The stripes are from the stamping plate "Nicole Diary-L04". I stamped with El Corazón's stamping polish "Blue Neon".

I topcoated it all and that made the polish change colour completely. The polish went from blue toned purple with lots of rainbows to a red toned purple with almost no rainbows. How odd!

Here's the end result, including a layer of topcoat. The photo is taken in the sun.

I took this photo with flash to make sure that I got just a few rainbows on the photo.

Here's Blueness' #111 alone; three coats and no topcoat. Look at how the colour is completely different.

I really like the colour and the finish of #111 from Blueness; both before and after topcoat. I didn't like the weird formula of the polish though.

Finish: Linear holo, polish dries up semi matte
Overall impression: Very tricky formula

Blue linear holo

Today I'm wearing a beautiful sky blue polish with holographic goodness.

The formula is tricky because the polish dries wickedly fast. The first coat came on patchy and streaky no matter how hard I worked, and the second coat didn't make up for all the irregularities. I ended up using 3 coats.

The dolphins are water decals and the dots are made with two stamping polishes from El Corazón: White and Pink Neon.

Here's the end result, including a layer of topcoat.

I think this is quite cute.

I really like the colour and the finish of #114 from Blueness. The three coats weren't a big deal because the polish dried so wicked fast!

Blueness ~ #112

Blueness ~ #112
Raspberry red linear holo

Today's polish is from Aliexpress and it's a lovely raspberry red holo. The formula is really good and easy to work with. It took two easy coats to achieve full opacity. The drying time was really good.

The stamp is from the stamping plate "BeautyBigBang XL-053" and I stamped with a dark red stamping polish from El Corazón called "Vineous".

I made two dots by the base of each nail with OPI's "You Only Live Twice".

Here's the final result, including a layer of topcoat. This photo is taken with flash.

Blueness #112 is a really nice polish. Cheap and good, but the shipping time was really long!
