Starrily ~ Ultraviolet

Starrily ~ Ultraviolet
Deep purple strong linear holo

I have quickly become a fan of Starrily’s polishes. Today it’s Ultraviolet’s time to shine!

Here’s a quote from Starrily’s webshop:
The world outside was lost in twilight. The moon glowed a subtle blue and cast it's light down upon the world below. The flora reacted with the ultra violet light and exploded in an array of color, glowing brightly in the night. The people walked calmly through this alien planet as if it were seemingly normal to them. I must have hit my head pretty hard, am I dreaming? Or is this my home now? Whatever it is, I rather like it.”

I used two coats for my mani. The drying time was fast; so fast that it was a bit of a challenge to get it close to the cuticles :D

Here’s two coats, no topcoat. The picture is taken with flash to show off the pretty rainbows.

The colour is gorgeous in ordinary daylight too.

I paired it with a glitter from Icing: Lemme See Your Peacock :D It’s a gorgeous green/purple/turquoise glitter in a clear base. I bought it in a blog sale back in the days where blog sales were still very popular.

I sponged the glitter on by the base of each nail.

Here’s the final mani, including a layer of topcoat. The picture is taken with flash.

Here’s a daylight picture so you can really see the glitter.

And here are the pretty polishes:

I added a second layer of topcoat shortly after to smooth out the surface.
I love the colours and the mix of holo and glitter in this mani. How about you?

Dark Blond ~ Marsala

Dark Blond ~ Marsala
Orange shimmer

I was in the mood for orange so I decided to wear Marsala from Dark Blond. That’s a brand that I have mostly seen crème polishes from, but once in a while they come up with a shimmer, and then I usually buy it :D

I used two really easy coats for my mani and the drying time was pretty average. The smell is a bit weird.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat taken with flash:

This picture is taken in ordinary daylight, no flash or sun.

I painted some random black and white stripes on it and topcoated it with Northern Light from Out the Door. That’s such a lovely holo microglitter topper.

Marsala  is a bleeder, which means that the white turned pink when I topcoated it :D

Look at that holo glittery goodness!

The polishes I used:

Dark Blond: Marsala, OPI: Never Have Too Mani Friends! & Angel with a Leadfoot, Out the Door: Northern Lights.

I’ve never seen Dark Blond in any other countries and I have a feeling that it’s the Danish outfit Coolcos that’s behind the brand name but I haven’t been able to confirm it.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Average
Finish: Shimmer
Overall impression: Nice colour, great shimmer!

Starrily ~ Quantum Energy

Starrily ~ Quantum Energy
Deep peacock green strong linear holo

Here’s another one of my new Starrily polishes. It’s not a secret that I find peacocks fascinating because of all the beautiful colours. Quantum Energy is a bit darker than I would usually go for, but the colour looked so amazing that I gave in and bought it anyway.

The formula is good and the coverage is amazing. Quantum Energy is a true one coater. I used two coats anyway but it honestly didn’t make any difference.

So this is two coats and no topcoat in the flash light:

I love the rainbows; I think they’re beautiful.

Here’s a quote from Starrily’s shop:
The light shone bright green and bounced across the room. A single photon of sheer radiance danced from wall to wall in front of the scientists. They stood jaws agape as the shape continued to twirl and flash around. "We've done it" they exclaimed "We've discovered the energy we need to save us all." The room burst into a loud cheer.” (My BF snorted with derision at that).

This last picture is taken in ordinary daylight; no sun. Look at that amazing colour!

I also love the boxes! There’s a star on one side and a unicorn head on the other.

I think it’s safe to say that I’m a fan of Starrily’s polishes so far :D
