NCLA ~ Red Square

NCLA ~ Red Square
Red holo

Today I’m going to show you the last NCLA polish I bought. I’ve got four of them in total, and I’ve already showed you Redicalist, Out Of This World and Lolanthe.

The formula is great and so is the coverage. You could probably get away with one coat if you were in a hurry. I used two though, and the drying time was really good.

Take a look at two coats and no topcoat taken with flash.

Isn’t that just a lovely colour?

I also like it in low lights.

I thought I had some nail vinyls with the blood dripping theme, but I hadn’t. So I went for some cheap vinyls from ebay and the black crème polish from OPI’s Hello Kitty collection “Never Have Too Mani Friends!”

Here’s my final mani including a layer of topcoat:

Red Square is really pretty; I like it a lot!

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Scattered holo
Overall impression: Cool colour, nice glow from within, good quality polish
Buy again: Yes

NCLA ~ Lolanthe

NCLA ~ Lolanthe
Described as: Vibrant, medium violet creme based holographic polish. It contains tiny pink sparks and strong linear holographic effect.

Today I’m going to show you the first NCLA polish I bought. It isn’t the first one I’ve worn, that honour went to both Redicalist and Out Of This World. Lolanthe is a store exclusive for Color4Nails.

Lolanthe is the Greek name for Violet, in case you wonder what the name means. Great quality polish, good formula and good drying time. I used two easy coats for my mani.

I stuck on a cute black butterfly that I bought from ebay, I just glued it on with topcoat.

This is the mani without topcoat, taken with flash.

The colour is really nice in low lights too.

Magic happens when you apply topcoat. The rainbows are dulled a bit but the purple intensifies and turns into a more vibrant red-ish purple. So whether you want to wear topcoat or not depends upon if you want a more vibrant colour, or if you want more rainbows. The choice is yours :D

I’m wearing topcoat on my pointer and the middle finger. The pinkie and the ring finger is without topcoat.

I love rainbows but I think I prefer it to be more vibrant, so I’ll wear my Lolanthe with topcoat in future. What do you prefer?

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Linear holo
Overall impression: Great polish, I love both the colour, the formula and the rainbows
Buy again: I would!

♥ Merry Christmas everybody! ♥

NCLA ~ Out of this world

NCLA ~ Out of this world
Deep purple linear holo

I showed you Redicalist yesterday, which is the first NCLA I tried on, but the second I bought. I was eager to check out the quality of my other NCLA polishes, so I grabbed “Out of the World”, which is the third NCLA I bought. I still haven’t tried the first one I bought, but I’ll do that very soon.

The formula is just as good as I had hoped for and this is a one coater if you’re careful with the application. I used two coats for my mani and the drying time was really good.

I made the dots with a purple stamping polish from Born Pretty Store.

This is my final mani taken with flash. Two coats and a layer of topcoat.

Out of this World is a little bleeder. The purple dots definitely got more red toned when I added the topcoat. I don’t actually mind that, I just mention it for the record.

This is how pretty it is in low lights.

These are the two beauties together.

This NCLA polish didn’t disappoint me either. It’s a great quality polish and such a cool colour. I actually love dark purples, especially when they look purple on my nails and not black.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Linear holo
Overall impression: Really good quality, easy to work with, cool colour and holo effect
Buy again: Yes I would
