Catherine Arley ~ 666
Dusty berry coloured holo
Here’s another one of the Catherine Arley
polishes from my sweet friend Aylin from Posh Nail Art.
I was quite thrilled with the first one, so
when the sun came out for just a little while, I was eager to try another one!
I just used my regular base coat and the polish just glided on. No problems
with dragging or anything, not even on coat number two! The coverage is really
good, and this was almost a one coater. I applied two anyway, just because I
wanted to.
Here’s what that looks like in the sun:
And from a slightly different angle:
I really like the look of this in the sun. The
holo isn’t hugely prominent but is enough to make a difference, if you know
what I mean.
I took a picture in the shadow too, so you can
see how this polish looks under those conditions:
As you can see, it turns out quite dusty!
That’s why I had to do some nail art on it. I tried a dotticure, but I failed
:/ I’m going to post it anyway, to make this a learning experience. I saw
something like this on another blog, I can’t remember which one, and thought it
would be cool. But either I’m not good enough at it, or my nails are too small
to even make the attempt. I go for the latter :D I used Nail Pop “Glamrock”, shade 14. It’s a
deep magenta glitter in a blackened base. I bought it when I was in London over Easter. I
topped it with a layer of Catrice “Quick Dry & High Shine” topcoat.
Enough with the talking. Here’s one picture of
my failed mani.
It looks as if I attempted to do nail art
while being drunk, LOL! I can assure you that it isn’t the case, just please
bear with me, okay? :D
