Dare To Wear ~ Sweetheart

When I opened “Sweetheart” it was thick and gloopy. It didn’t look like something I was in the mood for saving so I actually lined it up for chucking. Today I decided to give it a chance and added quite a few drops of thinner. That actually worked and I managed to do a proper manicure with it.

The formula was now okay and the polish covered in two coats. The drying time is good.

I paired it up with a dark purple shimmer from Star Gazer; it hasn’t got a name but only a number, which is #157.

I topcoated it with a layer of “Northern Lights” from Out the Door; a holographic microglitter topper.

Here’s the final manicure.

I really like this colour combo!

This is Sweetheart alone; two coats and no topcoat. Adding topcoat would have made the glitter pop!

Deep magenta linear holographic

Here’s the last of my six new Dare To Wear holographics. I think I saved the best one till last.

It’s not a secret that I love magentas. Aurora is almost purple, a gorgeous deep magenta with some serious pretty rainbows. She looks amazing!

The formula is great and easy to work with. Aurora covers in one single coat! I used two coats for my manicure though because I prefer it that way. The drying time is good.

I often don’t have a plan for how my nails are going to end up looking like. I kind of had stamping in mind when I started applying this beautiful polish. I changed my mind once the polish was on. Aurora is so beautiful that I wanted to cover up as little of her as possible. I decided to add glitter, because glitter makes everything a little bit better.

I sponged on a beautiful glitter from Sation called “Midlife Miss-tress”. It’s a from a huge glitter collection from way back when – I think it’s from 2012. It’s gorgeous though and it fits “Aurora” beautifully.

Periwinkle linear holographic

I’m almost done with showing you my new six Dare To Wear holographics. I This is the fifth one up.

Gemini is a beautiful periwinkle holographic. The colour is stunning!

The formula is great and easy to work with. This is the first one that can’t be worn in one single coat. It takes two coat to achieve full opacity and the drying time is good.

I couldn’t decide whether I wanted stripes or dots on my nails so I went with both. The purple is a China Glaze called “Summer Reign” and the white is OPI’s “Angel with a Leadfoot”.
