Miss Sporty ~ Funtasy #020

Miss Sporty ~ Funtasy #020
Steel grey with silver holo glitter

Many mainstream brands have now discovered holographic glitter. Miss Sporty is on of them and I managed to snatch three different colours in an online store.

020 is the first I try. I used two easy coats with average drying time. I made a stamping gradient on it, using the stamping plate BP-L061. I used the stamping polishes Red and Black, both from El Corazón, and I topped the whole thing with topcoat.

Here’s my final mani in the sun:

And this is the same thing in the lightbox. The holo glitter is still playful.

This is the Miss Sporty holo on its own. Two coats, like I said, and no topcoat yet.

Here’s the stuff I used for my mani.

I don’t think I’d wear the base colour on its own, but it’s a great colour to use as a base for something, just like I did here.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Average
Finish: Shimmer with holo microglitter
Overall impression: Good basic colour

Lilypad ~ Soul Revival

Lilypad ~ Soul Revival
Green linear holo

Today I’m going to show you a beautiful green holographic polish: Soul Revival.

I wasn’t thrilled with the final mani but that’s my own fault and not the polish’s fault.

Let me show you what I’m talking about. This is the final mani in the sun:

And here’s the same thing in the lightbox.

I didn’t like the way the dots came out for two reasons:
1. Soul Revival is a bleeder. That means that my silver dots turned out gold the moment I topcoated my mani
2. I made the dots a bit too big

So you see, the polish is (partly) innocent. I could have topcoated the mani before I made dots to avoid the bleeding – I’ll probably dot that next time, now that I actually know it’s a bleeder. And I could have used a dotting tool with a smaller head.

Anyway. The polish is really good. I used two easy and fast drying coats for my mani. This is what it looks like on its own. Two coats, no topcoat, photo is taken in the sun.

And this is Soul Revival in the lightbox. It’s such a pretty green.

Here are the polishes I used:

Lilypad: Soul Revival, Colors by Llarowe: Sparkling Diamonds stamping polish, El Corazón: Light Green stamping polish

I really like this green!

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Fast
Finish: Linear holo
Overall impression: Pretty colour, good rainbows, great polish

Ever After ~ V

Ever After ~ V
Wine red linear holo

Today I’m going to show you a beautiful red linear holo from Ever After. It’s a HHC Facebook custom from December 2016. The polish is from the True Blood collection.

Application was easy and coverage was good. I used two easy coats for full opacity and the drying time was really good.

I sponged on some iridescent glitter by the base of each nail. I used Jordana’s Lunar Lights for that. I absolutely love glitter gradients. They’re easy to do and they look great. What’s not to love!?

This is my final mani. Two coats, glitter and a layer of topcoat. The picture is taken with flash.

Here’s a daylight picture, no sun.

And here is V on its own. Two coats, no topcoat.

These are the two pretty polishes I used. I have had the Jordana glitter for a long time now and am really happy to have glitters that can spice up a mani that easily.

V was limited edition and is no longer available.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Linear holo
Overall impression: Great colour and good rainbows. I like the quality of the polish
